Now a woman was shot and killed yesterday afternoon in the 1900 block of 1st avenue in walnut creek just a half a block away from the lindsey wild Life Experience center. We decided to do a lock down procedure so we kept everybody safe inside all of our visitors volunteers and staff and we waited to hear from police. Witnesses say they saw the male suspect drive away. A rental car believed linked to the suspect was found later. The regional s. W. A. T. Team searched the area. The suspect fled on to san louis road. They believe the suspect picked up a silver mercedes and fled to martinez. The standoff with police has been going on since 7 00 last night. Now i did place calls into walnut creek police. They do not have any newspaper updates for us but the suspect is still out there. Police have had him surrounded since 7 00 last night. It does appear he is on the phone possibly negotiating with police. At this time police have not released his identity or the identity of the woman who was shot and killed in walnut creek. Some new information about a couple who were accused of trying to kill a baby inside an Mcdonalds Restaurant in san leandro. They did not enter pleas. Now theyre accused of conspiring to kill the 11month old son of brooks that he had with another woman. Court documents say brooks baited the mother of the baby to meet him at the mcdonalds last week. Prosecutors say that ibay then went up to the child, fired a shot but missed as brooks whos waiting outside. Brooks mother says her son is innocent. That was really wrong to try to shoot a baby. I really hate that and i hate that my son is behind bars for something he didnt do. Hes not that kind of person. Now Court Records say ibay confessed telling detectives the plan was brooks idea. It requires new residential and commercial building to be electric car ready. 10 of Parking Spaces have to be ready for charging stations and other spaces have to be easily upgraded. It just gets the infrastructure of the building ready so that when there is a request by tenants residential or business that it can be installed very quickly and inexpensively. Now there are almost 300,000 electric cars on the road here in california. Innout wont be coming to the city of walnut creek at least for now.
