Authorities stormed that building and prison officials Just Announced a corrections employee was killed. A Authority Time ago authorities stormed the prison. They ended the seige. They released one hostage but the other hostage was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead later. Prison inmates took over a part of the prison yesterday. They took hostages. Four corrections workers. Two of them were freed last night. The other two were still being held. Authorities decided to move into storm the building this morning and they found the hostages dead. Pittsburgh Police Departments are investigating a shoot that killed a 19yearold man. Officers were called to Leeland Court just after 1 00 oclock last night. Thats where the 19yearold was found shot to death. Right now no other information on a suspect or motive. A burglary suspect was shot and killed when he broke in to the home of a sheriffs deputy inial immediate a. It happened about 10 45 yesterday morning on buena vista near chestnut. The suspect broke in to the home of a sheriffs deputy while that deputy was asleep. The deputy woke up, grabbed a gun and shot the suspect. Officers had their guns drawn outside the home for hours as they made sure there were no other suspects nearby residents were told to stay inside. All i heard were several shots about five or six shots there. Were was a pause and then more fire. The incident is still being investigated. We dont know if the off duty deputy will be put on straight eve leave. Its also not clear how long he has been with the department. The Cal State University board of trustees will vote next month on whether or not to raise tuition. Several dozen students gathered at the cal state east bay campus to protest the increase. Thats where the board was meeting. The board is considering a 5 tuition increase system wide. That means the cost of under graduate tuition will go up by about 270 to more than 5,700 a year. That will be the first increase for csu students in six years. A california parole board is recommending the release of a former follower of charles manson. Bruce davis is serving a life term for to the killings in 1969. Yesterday was the 31st parole hearing for him and thea the time he has been approved for it. The governor have overturned them keeping him in jail. The governor will have the final say on the recommendation.
