This is where that woman who died in the fire lived and this is also where another man is missing. He tried to escape the flames on saturday afternoon as they kept through this area. And you can see on this street, Anderson Springs road, almost every pass, was leveled by the fire. You are hard pressed to find any homes that made it. None of the evacuees are allowed back in the area except on a temporariry basis. We talk temporary basis. We talked with calfire about why and they are too many hazards they say. Were deeply familiar with what the needs are for people to come back. We want to help facilitate that as quickly as possible. Even if they were to come back, theres still no power. Reporter right now, calfire investigators are gathering evidence trying to figure out what started this destructive fire. They figured out where it started. It was near a home in the community of cobb, which is west of middletown, and theres a partially burned shed on that piece of property that investigators have been looking at. But its still unclear exactly how the fire started. Nearly 600 homes destroyed by the flames here and a calfire chief told me today that when its all said and done, they are still assessing the damage.
