Ransom messages sent to the missing College Students family were fake. No one has been arrested but Sutter County undersheriff says they have been identified and they could face criminal charges. The person was trying to send Text Messages to the family to make some type of ransom. We have located that person. She was first reported missing on april 1. 10 different Law Enforcement agencies have combed Sutter County looking for clues. Days later investigators found her truck and cell phone in an orchard in live oak. No sign of her though. The sheriff says the investigation will look different from last week. Police say the attack stem from a domestic dispute. One student was killed and another wounded were not targets. Police have identified the gunman as 53yearold cedric anderson. He and the teacher karen smith had only been married a few months and were a strange. Police say they were 15 Elementary School students and two aides inside the classroom when the gunfire erupted. From what we understand without saying anything brought out a revolver and opened fire on his wife. She was killed in that exchange. Police say anderson never said a word before opening fire. Two students behind the teacher were hit by gunfire. One of them an eightyearold boy died. The school was evacuated with students bus doing their by university campus. For many parents it was several inches hours before they were reunited with their children. I hope everyone is safe. Its not a good situation for any kid to go through or anyone to go through. The eightyearold boy killed has been identified as jonathan martinez. He was airlifted to a hospital but died before making it to surgery.
