Graduated in 1981 after being a star in football, baseball and basketball. Graduated in 1981. He helped them win 7cif championships seven cif championships. They always loved the silver and black. At the time the raiders were winning super bowls. That was who we were and into this day, jack will say, he is a raider. Martinez police say they arrested a man accused of setting fire to his home and three other homes. The fires were set this afternoon at the ashwood town homes in martinez. Ktvus allie rasmus talked to neighbors and joins us with new information. The latest from investigation, there are four homes damaged or destroyed by the fire and investigators are checking out several spot fires they believe the same man set. Investigators are continuing their investigation. Going through the damaged town homes and they expect to remain on the scene well into the evening. Reporter neighbors watched in shock as flames consumed homes. Blew all the windows out. Big flames. Investigators say this was one of four separate fires set around 1 00 p. M. This afternoon. Martinez Police Department has a suspect in custody. [ indiscernible ] reporter booked on suspicion of arson. Investigators wouldnt tell us who the man is. But it is no secret to the neighbors. In Mountain View Police Arrested a man suspected of molesting a sixyearold girl and possibly other children. 47yearold Jorge Huerta Alvarez knew the girls mother and the mother dime police asking for dime police asking for a investigation. Officers interviewed various people and when they made the arrest they found child pornography on the suspects computer. They say the pictures included the sixyearold girl. Based on the evidence we have that i found on the computers and pictures, i believe that could be more victims in the community or other cities he lived in. Police say Jorge Huerta Alvarez lived in Mountain View for three years. The Oakland School Board Meeting could get heated because of changes ahead for schools. The superintendent says five schools are performing poorly. He says they need to be restructured. They will hear proposals from Charter Schools that have people worried. You are breaking it up and you are not providing a guarantee that all children get a guaranteed public education. There is also an issue with money. State funds go to the Charter School and not to the district. Reunion that no one was certain would happen. Rescue crews reunite with the fouryearold who beat the odds and survived a cerifying terrifying fall from a cliff. A flood of emotions. I have a fouryearold at home. It hits home. Seeing him acting like my son and having the mic, that is the stuff my kid would do. Great to see him doing that. Good news for city college of San Francisco, students learned they passed a major milestone in the accreditation battle. They announced they were granted restoration status. That means they will remain accredited and will have two years to come into compliance. The school should be able to fix the problems during the next two years. Work got underway to get rid of a stinky problem. Residents say the tap water smelled bad for several days now. Ktvus ann rubin explains how officials are taking care of the problem and why it is linked to the drought. In the middle of the drought some found it alarming. Gallons of water rushing through the streets in Mountain View. She used a bucket to collect what she could. Wasteful. I took some. Reporter Officials Say it wasnt a waste. It was a necessary step, that you know that had been delayed due to the drought. Reporter residents used half of what they would in an average month. Water just want moving through the pipes. Residents hope flushing them will help the smell but the conversation will continue. [ cheers and applause ] family and friends of Kevin Jorgeson and Tommy Caldwell cheered and popped champagne when they saw they reached the top. They happen first to ever free climb el capitan. The pair started their three thousand foot climb on december 27. They ate and slept in tents on ledges of their cheer rock wall. The weather in yosemite has been pretty mild. I cant imagine.
