For people not familiar with your husk you tell us about him and the impact he made on the nfl . Well, i think the best way to tell you about the impact he made in the nfl after quarterbacking. Yeah. Yeah. Is that in almost 100 years of the nfl theyve never created an award in the name of a player, and when deacon passed away, the commissioner called me and they created the deacon jones award. So i think that pretty much sums it up. But he did revolutionize the position of defense i have end and defensive play in the National Football league. He coined the term sack. He was famous for the painful and i think if you look at the real statistics youll find out that he is the all time single leader. Which is incredible. Taking a look at the photo we had, that is seeing deacon come at you full force he was amazing. He was really amazing. And i i didnt know him when he played, but im from los angeles and i was a big rams fans, and you went to the cool he was. He was a battering ram. He was. Lets talk about the Deacon Jones Foundation. Well, deacon and i formed the foundation in 1997. Deacons childhood and background was from very poor family and very disadvantaged circumstances. And he really wanted more than anything to be able to do kids whos parents were asked to teach them give them all the tools they needed to succeed, take them through college, and so what we gave to them they turned around and used to help other people. So that what 1997. We ran it in los angeles for quite some time. And then when deacon passed away, i sold our house and about a year later most of las vegas, and decided i had to figure out a way to get it up and running again. You two touched many peoples lives, helped so many people. And you started an art program. Yes. After i moved to las vegas, when deacon and i had it initially we raised all of our money through Major Corporate sponsors and special events. I certainly couldnt continue to do that here. So through talking to people and that a really great way to raise funds and to provide a tribute to the nfl and to my husband was to do it through art, through nfl licensed art. And i was fortunate enough to receive the license from the nfl for all trademarks, and licensed from the Players Association for the use of images, and so we now have a beautiful line of fine art from the from the nfl players. I have over 120 images. Youre including the one directly in between us here. This i mean one of the greatest moments of the big game as it were is when all the mvps walked on to the field. This was commissioned by the nfl to the Deacon Jones Foundation for the centerpiece night before the super bowl when they give out all the awards. And they had to blow this up to six feet tall by ten feet long, so when you walked into the Cocktail Party at honors you walked right into this. This has every single mvp from all of the past 49 super bowls. So the money raised helps students. Yes. And its given to the kids at mohave. We started with a program at the high school. We not knowing the territory, i had my sister who lived here for 40 years investigate where there was a lot of need, and obviously im sure you know that northwest vegas qualifies for that in a lot of areas. And so she spoke to the teachers and the principals at the high schools there, and Mohave High School was dying to have it. After school program. We fund the entire thing. And it started out with i believe 22 or 24 kids, and next week more kids and the next week and ended up with 34 kids. Thats awesome. And we awarded for second and third place scholarships to them at the end of the semester. Great. All of them are coming back or are back this semester. Foreclosure happens, well this morning were going to go through the timeline what you can expect if you find yourself in that situation. Explain. Here to explain is judah zakalik. Say we begin to miss our payments, something weve seen in the valley. Whats the fastest time that a bank can for close . Fastest is around four to six months, somewhere around there. Does it happen often at that speed . No, not normally. There are several roadblocks the bank must overcome. The most important thing is not to put your head in the sand when you get scary notices or letters on your doors. If you ignore it, doesnt mean its not there. Thats right. There is something called the homeowner bill of rights, kind of sets a guideline as to how the foreclosure process should work. Tell us about this. Well, first of all the nevada homeowner bills rights does not apply to all banks. The big five banks, bank of america, wells fargo, chase, city those are not going to have to comply with nevada homeowner it applies to the mid level servicers. It sets out a procedure for them to foreclose. They have to send you a notice of intent to accelerate, so you get an acceleration letter which says homeowner were calling it seems a lot of times, unflux of foreclosures, seems to be were in a double dip, where theyre starting to increase again. Right. The banks would allow people to stay in their homes for a long time before foreclosing. Why were they there were a lot of new laws coming into effect. One was the National Mortgage settlement of 2012. The second one was the nevada homeowners bill of rights which took the settlement and applied it to the smaller banks. There were a lot of new laws, and the bank had to adjust to those laws. And now theyre starting to foreclose quicker. Great. Great news. So we have to hurry with this then. There is another notice this one like notice of trustee sale. Right. What is this. Thats the scary one, because its going to set out a sales date three weeks after you get that notice. But its still not too late. You can still save your home if you want to. You can do a loan modification. And you have the option of a you can go through Mediation Program there, which has been very successful in the state of nevada. Lets say the house does go to sale. You ignored all these. You havent really done what we should be doing at this point, which is being attentive. Is there anything we can do after it goes to sale . What . Can you buy your own house . You can if you have that money to do so. Discount. Yes. But thats going to be very difficult to do, especially if youre behind so many years, you probably dont have the money to do that. If the bank made a mistake its possible to reverse the sale if the bank brought it back in foreclosure. If it wasnt sold to an Unrelated Third Party you may be able to reverse the sale. If it was sold toe another bank. If the bank took it back, tried toels it and couldnt get enough money we may be able to reverse that sale. Thats very difficult, and i dont suggest anyone wait until that point. Please dont wait until that point. Makes it more difficult. Yes, sir. You obviously seen a lot of that need help with stuff like this. And you seen people run through the gamut. What what do you say to people out there that find themselves in the situation . I would say the more time we have the better, number one. Dont panic, number two. And just realize what your longterm goals are. If your longterm goal is to keep that house because its your home, your kids enjoy living there, thats the school district, great, lets do it and save testimony who. If you have other longterm goals, maybe its not wise to keep that house. Strategic default or if you could barely afford it and its not a strategic default do you still want to break your back to afford it . And most of all if you want to keep your home the last thing you want to do is convey title to anyone. So theres a lot of short sale buyback things, those are risky, okay . We only want to use that as a last option to keep your house. So how do we set up an appointment, what should we bring to you to figure out where we stand . The most important thing is just bring in the mortgage statement. And a good idea of how much and i can evaluate you on what i think the options are. I give worst case scenarios. So we do everything that we did before as far as the grooming. We do the regular baths, and the brushes and the hair treatments, and the coloring, and the dyeing, mud facials, and pedicures. Oh, yeah, come on now. Spoiled. We do warm oil ma says knowledges, the whole bit, just not the boarding aspect or the day camp aspect anymore. So all grooming, no boarding or day camp. We take care of our selfs and sometimes we forget to take care of our pets and they need it just as much as we do. As a matter of fact grooming itself is a huge part of bathe i can health. Its the same for a pet. There is a lot of breeds that need grooming roughly about every six weeks or so. A lot of people let it go a little too long and they get matted and causes skin infections. They let their nails grow into their paws. They can get ear infections by not keeping the ear out of the hair out of the ears. Its not important for them to look good its for them to feel good. Pride and joy, when i get when i bring him in to get taken care of, you get him back and he smells so nice. Yeah. And hes happy. And clean. Its like when you take a bath right after a long day, you work out and you feel kind of rejuvenated, they feel the same way. A lot of people say hes running around the house, and my dog is so happy right now. Yeah, he feels amazing. He got the whole nine yards done to him. So its important, something you do not want to neglect. And a lot of people do. So grooming every single six weeks for those fluffy dogs, the maltese, you know, shorter haired dogs, shephards, we recommend bathing them at least every four weeks, but our bath and brush specials alone include teeth brushing, ear cleaning, anal gland expression. Thats a stingy sack in the back end there. But it needs to be done. It needs to be done. Dont dont do it yourself. Leave that to the professionals.
