As the massacre unfolded mateen called 911 several times and operators desperately tried to call him back. Its not clear there was ever any more discussion between mateen and 911 operators. Mateen whod visited pulse v the attack over weeks or months. Just around last call, mateen entered the club through the front door and with a military assault style rifle and a glock 9mm handgun.
