All right Laura when you ring in will hear this your opponent is Abby grant you are joining us from Chalk Hill Pennsylvania Yes thanks for coming all the way you're welcome Yeah and you're a quality analyst at a health insurance company Ok Are we talking customer support quality more so reading medical records to make sure people are completing things they don't really want to do like mammograms and colonoscopies the big trend right now is the color guard where you submit the stool sample in a box so yes if you peeped in a box and 28000 I probably know about it. In my situation Abbie it was totally secret and there's no way. It's for a different thing. All right Abby when you ring in we'll hear this Lauren Abby whoever's more points after 2 games will go to the final round this word game is called The History Of The World According to podcasts you are going to mash up the name of podcasts with historical figures for example if we said this public radio trivia show exclusively asked questions about works by the author of the old man in the sea you would answer ask me another nest and main way. If you think you do everything up to be that's what I like about it visit j.p. And still I look back on it as some of the best work I've ever done in fact I'm taking all of the month of June to go back and study with the teaching that I left 10 years ago really yeah I'm going back I'm taking a clown class clown class why go down plus. I constantly feel inadequate and I'm constantly like how can I be better and so clowning is it's really beautiful it's like going back to complete innocence and there's something. About the lack of artifice and the Bold physical choices that it requires that really kind of like shake me up yeah no I mean that still terrified inside of me yes it's absolutely terrifying and I think it can only happen with master teachers sort of teaching it no but that's cool i like I'm sure the teacher too was very flattered Yeah you got in contact with him oh no I think he's like you need to. Force he would say that So this is the final season of the Netflix show you star in Orange Is The New Black it's coming this summer after 7 seasons and it is amazing to think that Orange Is The New Black revolutionized how we watch television I mean it was only the 3rd Netflix series to drop this way but I read that in the beginning Netflix didn't like anyone using the Yeah Yeah they thought that it had connotations to eating disorder your negative things so we've got trained to not use the word binge in infinite view or would say binge we would say no. You're able to watch the show it share leisure. And whatever pace you enjoy you are in charge of your own experience. You're not bingeing. Didn't work and then what I thought was so funny was that the next season or 2 seasons later we were at some of the end for the opening of the show and they had hash tag binge on top or where containers and the like had too much catering it was so I was like you guys right there's a grey area. Around so they had like so everyone could take home extra food and essentially like sit down. And binge in a bowl that said binge Yeah they had to go to extremes to find their sweet but what is life you know that happened this being a human they did embrace it they did so when you're in the new movie family you play a successful workaholic career minded woman who has to reluctantly babysit her niece you're brought in and at some point your character finds herself at a gathering of the Juggalos Yes Now for those who don't know what Juggalos are can you please explain it so. There's this band called a beautiful movie in my mind about feeling marginalized Yeah you know there's tons of movies out there about men male characters that are workaholics completely married to their jobs career driven and then they're put in a situation where they have to become nurturing Yes but we don't really actually see a lot of female characters like that absolutely and I think it's an interesting thing because the movie is not about a woman finding her nurturing side via of child it's about a human coming to embrace them selves through their own outsiderness and being able to embrace a child's outsiderness and what I thought was so radical about it was that there was no apologies made for the fact that this woman does not value domesticity she has no interest in it. I mean culturally we don't value her values as a woman right would judge her choice but also there's this other thread of it that I thought was so interesting was that we do value workaholism the working is covering up the sense that she doesn't belong and then in meeting her knees and this little girl who wants to wear suits and capes and fight with trees and becomes eventually a Juggalo she loves her so much that she's kind of able to. Accept herself and love herself and not need to change right and not it's not about her becoming a mom it's about her saying Oh my God there's room for me in the world just the way I am and just like there's room for my little my little Juggalo it's looking good for my love the Juggalo within all of us yes you see embrace is a Juggalo we have been. All right Taylor would you be interested in playing and ask me another game would be all right. So you know Orange Is The New Black Hole popularized the idea of binge watching yes obviously so which is watching a bunch of episodes of television at your own pace at your leisure at your leisure creating your own define your own experience. And that's all we do now so this got us thinking what else could you do with all that time oh gosh this is a tragedy so we created a quiz called binge time and if you do well enough listener Joyce she from Rockville Maryland will win an Ask Me Another Rubik's Cube Oh God Joy I'm with you so I'm just going to ask you which of these things takes more time Ok you're going to guess Ok Ok so which of these things takes more time watching every episode of Orange Is The New Black or driving from Orange County Florida to Orange County California with no stops. Driving watching the show that's correct watching the show. Yeah so we're the new black takes about 3 days 6 hours to watch 6 seasons $78.00 episodes versus It takes one day and 13 hours to drive across the country so I could feel it I knew I was around the. Course corrected I like that it takes one day and 13 hours to drive across the country and if you ever do this in Google Maps sometimes I'm like how far you have to get to Atlanta and then I'll just go how long would it take to walk I just don't know I just don't know like of it all fell apart and I had to walk to work yeah many granola bars yeah. Ok what takes more time sitting on your couch eating pizza and binge watching the 1st season of killing. Or just exciting thinking about. Or the total time it takes to prep and bake course sonce according to The Great British Bake Off Judge Paul Hollywood's recipe. Interesting I'm sorry that wasn't correct imagine I enjoy it's the Empire State Building its view has been out for 20 seasons how could it not how can one How long does it take you to watch endos it takes 4 months to wash the Empire State building according to a window washer who was quoted in The New York Times. When guys like how do they counted today's take breaks is it in shifts how many people are watching it once these are 3 people are watching at once I'm going to I don't know why do you think I so I need more information. With the right team. That's right we take less and he's watching 20 seasons of television that's true it takes 2 weeks to watch this view with no play. This is your last one what takes more time watching all of wings the 1997. Airport. Or the minimum flight time required to qualify for a private pilot's license. And remember when I know. You know let's throw caution to the wind and user reckless intuition. By going with by going with the flight school. Wings Yeah wings is correct. So watch all the seasons of wings it would be take 2 days and 15 hours if you want to private pilots license 40 you know yeah that's terrifying. And part of me is like I should become a private pilot like yeah is that part of me like get on my plane not take you down to Atlanta. I got your back you don't have to walk you don't have to walk you've got me in my 40 hour. All right congratulations Taylor you enjoy she want to. Kill or we'll be back later in the show to play another game you never telling everybody. Want to next special guest to play for you follow ask me another on Facebook Twitter and Instagram our next game is about things stuck inside us States like the time I got stuck at the McCarran Airport in Las Vegas where the only thing less likely than hitting a jackpot is your flight leaving on time let's meet our contestants 1st up Eric hood you're joining us from Utah. Adelphia Yes this is this is a lot of people have traveled for the show I appreciate that you're a computer programmer for Comcast but you used to work for the Treasury Department . Why did you leave I wanted to use technology that wasn't still stuck in the 1980 . 1 of the you something maybe you know a little bit more you know it then so the Treasury Department doesn't have enough money to upgrade their computers I didn't work in the Treasury Department proper I worked in like a bureau that handled the tax refunds which is even worse. We're getting all the money right but yet technology wise the government is a little stuck in that Ok Leo when you ring in we'll hear this remember Eric and Leo whoever has more points after 2 games will go to our Final Round it's time for a word game about geography that's right you can't leave we block the doors this game is called Inside the states Every answer is a state and a word that can be found in the state's name for example if I said there's a poem of tribute inside the Ocean State you would answer and oh did in Rhode Island because the Ocean State is Rhode Island and a poem of tribute is an ode and the word is in Rhode Island here we go it's the legal to show an r. Rated movie added drive in theater according to one regulation in the state but at least you won't have to pay any sales tax at the box office. Delaware and then the word within it. Where. Tell. Us exactly where can you steal law and Delaware law in Delaware that's correct. This state is kind of full of itself maybe because Crater Lake is the nation's deepest or because it's got a city bursting with quirky culture and at sea beach shop owners. The end of a famous trail. Erick So I think the state is Oregon so far so good. And the other part of the question which I totally remember. The state is kind of full of itself yeah so that is. Reg. Started actually was a medical journal as it was so that was that was interesting because it was some of the most. Poetic writing I've seen out of doctors ever one journal article said like what would one more month mean to a 37 year old mother who has 4 children or what would one more month mean if you are a 67 year old who's about to go travelling around the world people were just kind of like drifting these questions out there with all these questions seem to circle around a seemingly simple story of the pricing of a drug cancer drug and the story begins with this guy named Leonard Leonard Salt's I'm a medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center which is here in New York and it's one of the largest cancer centers in the country so it's June in 2012 Leonard salt is at a conference and at this conference is a pharmaceutical company called Santa Fe and they give a presentation about a new drug that they have a drug called Zaltrap Zaltrap is a drug that targets the blood supply to the tumour it cuts off the blood supply which means the tumour can't grow so it's new drug is presented and they like present the data and they showed that the survival difference between the people who got Zaltrap and the people who didn't was 1.4 months or 42 days in other words if you take this drug you could get 42 more days of life on average 42.
