Police say the men escaped from jail late friday night. They were serving time for different charges range anywhere from attempted murder to Armed Robbery the last inmate, who is still on the loose is considered to be dangerous. They are not sure how they get out. Officials in south dakota said Joseph Patterson posted a 2 million bond. Patterson is charged with second Adrian Peterson is facing legal issues of his own, accused of beating his other son with a switch. He is suspended from the vikings until the legal issues are resolved. Secret service said a driver failed to stop at the main gate of the white house. Agents told him to stop, but he kept going. Developing news this morning, police are investigating an incident that happened outside a house party in concord last night. Mike pelton is live with details. Reporter Concord Police are keeping this close to the vest. They are not releasing details about this mornings incident. We have seen no fewer than a dozen parents and kids coming to the Police Department with many of them telling us a man was stabbed outside a house party. Police officers are on the scene near the intersection of virginia and premier place. While authorities are not releasing details, there are many kids in the video. I spoke with one man who told me his 23yearold friend was stabbed outside the house party. According to the friend a few of them were working to the party when a car drove by with several guys and girls inside. They were shouting at them, and someone inside the car stabbed his 23yearold friend. That witness says the car drove away, and they called 911 and he tells me his friend was undergoing surgery this morning at the hospital. That was about 2 to 3 hours ago. Now, this morning we have seen many parents coming here to the Concord Police department to pick up their kids. But again, Concord Police not releasing details on this incident despite repeated requests for information. As soon as we get details from police, well bring them to you this morning. Marty. Over 20,000 homes continue to be threaten as king fire grows larger. Officials say the fast moving blaze has burned over 120 square miles. Its 10 contained. Over 5000 firefighters are battling the blaze. 2800 people have been driven from their homes, and there is no end in sight at this point according to officials. They say assessment teams will be checking to see how many structures have been damaged. Another concern about the king fire is poor air quality. The heavy smoke has not only affected weekend plans but the health of residents as well. On saturday, Placer County officials urging people to stay undoors. The family of a richmond man shot and killed by police is planning to file a wrongful death lawsuit. 24yearold Richard Perez was shot when he tried to grab the gun of an officer. This happened outside a liquor story this sunday. The family will dispute the claim in court. The Funeral Services were held saturday. After that, family and supporters held a rally and memorial for perez at a city park. He loved people around him. He wanted nothing to do but help people and see better in people. Police say the driver of a toyota suv was heading west on sacramento street and turned left southbound leading into the stockton tunnel when he hit and killed a woman in the road. The driver was arrested for vehicular manslaughter. The beyond wonderland Music Festival continues tonight at shoreline amphitheater in Mountain View. Developing news this morning, Richmond Police are investigating a double homicide. Police say the shooting happened at 5 30 friday night at intersection of bissel and 4th 4th. They found one victim injured. He later died of his injuries. A second man showed up at a hospital and died soon after. Now, both men were shot in the chest. One neighbor told us shes concerned for her neighborhood with those deadly shootings. This is madness. Please, if anybody knows anything, please say something. Tell somebody. This is ridiculous. Thats someones son. I dont care if it was a turf war or you know, people are fighting over gangs or whatever, i dont know what is going on but this last week has been absolute mayhem. Neighbors say they are concerned that the shooting was related to gang violence. Police havent made any arrests but they are still investigating. Take a look at this, this is fascinating video. Its a 15 minute time lapse of a smoke cloud from that wildfire, the kings fire near pollock pines. Nearly 81,000 acres have burned so far in Eldorado County and the fire is spreading to the Tahoe National forest northwest of lake tahoe. As of now, the fire is only 10 contained. Thats the same, the containment figure as yesterday. 12,000 homes still threatened. 37yearold Wayne Huntsman is accused of setting the blaze. He has pleaded not to arson charges being held on 10 million bail. Adds the king fire moves north, so do the firefighters. Dozens of support workers turned dirt fields into a self sustaining city yesterday. The base camp serves as a closer place for firefighters to get to the front lines and back, and they bring amenities from home, food serving stations, showers, bathrooms and a base for sleeping camps. And they have impacted the local economy. While the fire and smoke has chased away tourists, surprisingly, some businesses are boom. We have all these hungry, u. S. Forest service, Law Enforcement people here, and they can put away some pizza. The amount of people they have working on the fire already, our town is doubling overnight. The number of assigned personnel so far on the king fire is now about 5000 people. Even when the fire is 100 contained, theyll still have to clean up the area which means many firefighters wont be going home anytime soon. Theres another fire burning in oregon thats only 20 contained this morning. Plains have been making water drops to fight the blaze and to keep it from spreading. The fire started friday. So far its burned 400 acres. Several residents have been forced from their homes. The cause of the fire still under investigation. Officials say that hundreds of wells in the Central Valley remain dry forcing many residents to rely on donated bottled water. Officials say that wells that sustain about 295 families in East Porterville are now depleted and that means there are more empty wells as well throughout the farming region. A wrestling coach in san ramon arrested on suspicion of child molestation is facing 20 felony charges. California High School Coach kevin lopez was arrested on september 9th on charges that include lewd acts on a child 14 to 15 years old. And the man accused of killing vikings running back Adrian Petersons son last year is out on bail. Officials in south dakota say Joseph Patterson post add 2 million bond on friday. The child lives with his mother, who is pattersons girlfriend at the time. Patterson is charged with seconddegree murder, and he says the child choked to death while eating and that he wasnt assaulted. Adrian peterson is also facing legal issues of his own, accused of beating his other son with a switch. Peterson is suspended from the vikings until the child abuse case is resolved. The fast moving fire has burned 120 square miles. It is just 10 contained at this point. And over 5000 firefighters continue to battle the blaze. 2800 people have been driven it from their homes. Officials will be sending out assessment teams to check out how many structures have been damaged. Another concern from the king fire is poor air quality. The heavy smoke is not only affected weekend plans but Residents Health as well. On saturday, Placer County officials urge people to avoid Outdoor Activities until the air quality improves. Playgrounds were empty as were most parks during the afternoon hours. But there were a few people who braved the ashy air and smoky smell, rather than remain indoors. Highway 37 will be closed again next weekend. Family and friends mourning the death of 43yearold diego gallindo. He was beaten to death with a steal bar inside a ballys total fitness store. We spoke with the victims family at a candlelight memorial, and they are calling his death a senseless murder. Reporter his sisterinlaw says violence wasnt in diegs vocabulary. Were very devastated. Police say 24yearold Richard Perez was shot when he tried to grab the gun of an officer outside a liquor store last sunday. His family, however, disputes that claim. His Funeral Services were held on saturday, and then after wards, family and supporters held a rally and memorial for perez at a city park. He loved people around him. He wanted nothing to do but help people and see better in people. I hope everyone can have this image of him. The familys lawyer says perez was unarmed and he did not try to take the officers gun. The officer who shot perez is on paid administrative leave pending the results of the investigation. The driver who police say hit and killed a pedestrian in San Francisco saturday morning is behind bars today. The accident happened just before 10 in the citys china town neighborhood. Police say the driver of a toyota suv was heading west on sacramento street and turned left southbound leading into the stockton tunnel when he hit and killed a woman in the road. The driver was arrested for vehicular manslaughter. The beyond wonderland Music Festival continues going on at shoreline amphitheater in Mountain View. It has a reputation for being wild. Saturday Mountain View police were busy stopping underage drinking and making arrests for drug possession. They also had problems with noise in the past getting several complaints from neighbors. Organizers say they have made changes so noise shouldnt be an issue. There were noise complaints last year. Were dealing with a deeper marine layer this morning, and thats producing low clouds and drizzle along the coastline. As we focus on temperatures, however, you notice the numbers are starting to climb, in fact a little muggy out there with oakland at 65. 65 out the door in concord and the east bay and south bay, were seeing sunshine develop. It is going to take time along the coastline. Lets look at satellite and radar. Youll notice we have some rain to our east picking up a few isolated showers for the Sierra Nevada and you know what, overnight, we did experience isolated lightning strikes for nasa county. All of that is behind us. We are moving in the direction of sunshine. Keep in mind its going to be a hazy sunshine, still dealing with a little bit of smoke from the king fire. As we look at future cast 4 and focus on temperatures heading into the lunchtime were going to keep the 60s around. In fact most of the bay area dealing with 60s. Looks like we could however see a few low 70s develop in the south bay. Hitting 3 this afternoon, youll notice more 70s make their way into the forecast and well also welcome a few 80s as well. But temperatures are trending cooler than where we should be ho÷year. Lets break down the numbers. Fremont 77. 81 in santa clara. Los gatos, 84. And 85 expected in ever green. And more reasons to get a flu shot, holly that has todays health minute. The average waist size is expanding, going from 37. 6 inches at the start of the century to 38. 8 inches 12 years later. With more americans meeting the criteria for abdominal obesity. They speculate sleep deprivation and certain medications could account for the increase. The study appears in the journal. Artificial sweeteners may contribute to rather than decrease the risk for illness like type two diabetes.
