Additional evacuation orders were lifted for Hidden Valley lake, jerusalem grade, grange road, and butts canyon road. Residents from middletown were allowed to go home yesterday. Additional evaucation orders have been lifted for parts of napa county, including Aetna Springs and james creek. Painful burnshis face and paws singed by flames. He is one of many cats badly burned in the valley fire. these kitties come in with no whiskers. Theyre singed down all their hair too. Burnt pads. Reporter sam is one of nearly 100 animals who have been helped by middletown Animal Hospital. Less than 24 hours after the town burned and people ranveterinarians here began driving the roads looking for animals in need. Not all of them are burned victims. This dog was attacked by other roaming dogs while streets were empty o fpeople. most of them i think are going to make it reporter with so many animalsthis hospital has been operating at maximum capacity. After being accused of deceiving environmental regulators. The companys ceo said today that he was quote, deeply sorry, but stopped short of admitting guilt. Federal and state regulators say the german car maker cheated on its emissions standard compliance. Are the brake lights on . You be the judge. Some parents are concerned about how the School District is handling safety precautions. my concern is that why do we have old buses. Who is running this year. Vicki records show the bus involved was more than 20years old. And the driver involved had only been on the job for a few days. School district officials contend the aging fleet of buses is safe and the driver was properly trained. The bus driver has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of its investigation. None of the 27 Elementary Students on the bus were seriously injured. Vicki youve had trouble getting them to bed. They may want to be like grownups and stay up late. Reporter a recent study in the journal of pediatrics found that children who went to bed at irregular times were more likely to have behavioral problems by the time they reached elementary school. Researchers looked at data from more than 10thousand children and their sleeping behaviors at ages, 3, 5 and 7. They also looked at comments made by their mothers and teachers on the childs behavior. They found that, as they aged, children who went to bed at a certain hour, had fewer problems in school, than those who had no set bedtime.
