On monday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in 2 major cases where harvard and the university of North Carolina defended the use of race with in their admission policies. The High Court Heard arguments in 2 pivotal cases from harvard and the university of North Carolina. One same and separate arguments. The schools emphasized the practice is necessary to promote diversity on campus. Newly appointed Justice Ketanji brown jackson, the first black woman to serve on the High Court Said race is just one of several factors considered by the schools. When you give your race, youre not getting any special point since being treated just on par with other factors in the system. But Justice Samuel alito suggested the inclusion of race is innately unfair. If you give a plus 2 in person who falls within the category of underrepresented minority, but not to somebody else. You are disadvantaging. The latter student. And a ruling in this case is not expected until the spring now, rush, have a question for you given that affirmative action has been upheld in the past. Researchers from the university of Rochester Medical Center examined more than 1 billion leaders of baby formula. 59 of all formula sold as lactose reduced. That means the ingredients such as corn served in table sugar have been substituted. They found that labeling on the formula bottles can be misleading about lactose and can be confusing for many parents.
