Oakland police say the shooting happened just before 10 00pm. Youre at gar street and west macarthur boulevard. 4 people were shot. The 2 killed teenage brothers and high School Students. Its a number. Every Berkeley Latin organization confirmed to kron 4 that this gofundme is for the victims of saturday night shooting. 15 yearold angel and 17 yearold jazzy stiletto. Oakland police are still investigating what happened and twen towers is the chair of the oakland violence prevention coalition. Well, a woman is now dead after a hit and run this happen in walnut creek. It happened around 7 saturday night. Officials say that woman was struck by a driver at the intersection of north california boulevard and civic dry officers had to close off the area for several hours. No arrests have been made. Walnut creek police are asking for help identifying the driver. And the north bay. One person is dead after being hit by a capitol corridor train while inside of a truck that they were driving. The crash happened on the side of 6. 80, near fairfield soon city yesterday afternoon. Chp says the victim was backing up from a home on a dirt road when they were hit by the train. Later today while san jose. 77 for your daytime high freeman through hayward low to mid 70s, pleasanton livermore, barely making the low 80s oakland, a nice 73 while danville in concord at 83, even our very warmest spots. Thats the vacaville 86 degrees. So not getting close to 90 degrees today. Tomorrows temperatures will be around the same as todays. We will see some low 90s to finish out the tail end of this workweek wednesday, thursday and friday reaching the low 90s inland in some low 80s right along the bay shore. Were holding pretty steady with the sunshine all week long, which doesnt bode well for any fleet week activities that you may have planned in the city, right . You can actually see whats going on there. So they do have the lanes blocked on the eastbound side of this the scene for me as i was coming into the city this morning. And so its its still the scene there. So the westbound side not impacted. But as you can see, the eastbound side is and theyre not letting traffic flow across from the city towards the east bay. So keep that in mind. Theyve been working on this for the past hour or so. Keep a close eye on things there. San mateo bridge about 12 minutes, a 80 to 101 heading across towards the peninsula. The richmond fell 7 minutes traveling out of lets go and check on that Golden Gate Bridge about 20 minutes as youre traveling from 37 to the tolls. Well, happening today, the Supreme Court is starting a new term with a calendar full of potentially consequential cases. Just a few hours are going to start hearing arguments. Washington correspondent Hannah Brandt joins us live with a look at what to expect the morning. Hannah. Morning, what the court is fresh off of a term that was explosive with controversial decisions on gun rights, abortion and environmental regulations. And the legal experts i talked to say that this term is also shaping up to be one with farreaching impacts. With the sleet full of new cases and new face on the bench. The Supreme Court is jumping into another term. I have a seat at the table now. This week the court will hear a Voting Rights case that George Washington law professor Alan Morrison says could be significant. It centers on redistricting representation for minority population should be considered when drawing election maps, if you cannot. As state of alabama says take race into account when redrawing districts at all, then essentially you got to the Voting Rights act. Its one of 2 electionrelated cases on the docket. The court is set to hear arguments on affirmative action and the justices are expected to determine whether colleges can consider an applicants race for admission. The court is also taking a case about same couples and determining whether free speech rights outweigh states antidiscrimination laws that prevent businesses from excluding certain customers locking horns over individual views are says they to discrimination. Shes also the first justice with experience as a public defender. So she definitely does bring a new unique perspective to the bench that it hasnt had before. But in terms of breakdown of the court, liberal versus conservative, shes not expected to make that much of a difference in the dynamic.
