Devastated. We just want to be strong now. Reporter at 75 years old, robert wollo lived his days filled with love. One of his sons tells me his dads life should not have ended this way. For his entire life, he is a hard working person. He loved taking care of himself. He loved to take care of his family. Reporter on monday night, wollo was just two blocks away from his home when oakland place say two teenagers speeding away from a shooting smashed into his subaru killing wollo. He was coming home from his job at a Senior Citizens home where he watched after the elderly. His youngest son is stunned by the senselessness of his death. I cant believe someone my age was driving wrecklessly. He looked like mr. Wollo himself. Reporter wollo leaves behind eight children, 10 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He is the only person who has been there for us and it is sad we have to lose him to this. A terrible tragedy. Reporter as they grieve, the family now needs to figure out how to pay for a proper funeral. And honor the man they loved so much. In hayward, justine waldman, kron 4 news. A tight knit Bay Area Community mourning this boy who was hit and killed on his bike in byron. The driver had just dropped off her own children when she ran over him. The principle says they are praying for both families involved in this tragic accident. For the second night in a row, a vigil has been held. Reporter friands tell us he road his bicycle to and from school everyday. This is what they remember most about him. He was full of energy. He would like, pump everybody up and im going to miss that. Every time he walked out of that classroom and came back in. Miss kuomo would you like my pencil . What for . He was like pencils make you do work. And work makes you succeed. He can finish a book like that big in a day. Or a week. Or two days. He was just so exciting. He was so enthusiastic. He always wanted to come to school and he was always happy and he didnt care what anybody else says. He would want us to be happy. I dont want to believe it. I feel like he is just going to come to School Better with maybe an arm cast. I dont want to believe it. An attack caught on camera at an east bay grocery store, a man goes into a safeway, punches a manager and then leaves. Reporter this violent attack on monday morning has left customers here at safeway stunned. Joseph sanchez has known the victim for years. It is very bad. That could have been my father or my uncle. He is a nice manager just doing his job to help out the customers. Reporter the San Leandro Police Department Released video of the attack hoping someone will recognize the suspect and come forward with information. We are hoping someone, maybe an officer from another jurisdiction or someone who has dealt with this in the past will identify him. Reporter investigators are also trying to figure out a motive for the attack or if this was just a random act. It is hard to tell at this point. Our detectives are trying to find out exactly what happened there speaking with the other employees. Maybe they know the suspect. Maybe he has been in there before. We dont know. Reporter the suspect is described as being african american, about 20 years old, five feet ten inches tall with an athletic build. Anyone with information is asked to call the police. Daisy says the same thing happened to her last week as she was leaving the stadium. She came up and shoulder chucked me. I pushed her away from me. I was very shaken up as he punched me in the head and kicked me. I was crying pretty hard and that girl stood on the side and laughed. Reporter these are the bruises left on daisys legs. Officers say 67 people were ejected from the colts game but only three arrests were made. They are using uniform and nonuniform officers in addition to the security. This is proof there are still hurdles to overcome when it comes to safety at the stick. I feel like they need more police and to take it more seriously. People need to be penalized. Breaking news tonight. A Santa Clara High School math teacher has been arrested on having sex with a 17 year 17 yearold minor. Hugo guzman was arrested. He has been placed on a leave of absence. Authorities say he was booked into the Santa Clara County jail on multiple counts of sex with a minor and an investigation is now underway. Investigators are looking for more victims with the same connection. A petsmart store in san carlos. Scott rates shows us the twist. Reporter this is a popular place for people to bring their dogs when they go out of town, but the customers never thought they would have given a burglar direct access to their house and that is exactly what the San Mateo County Sheriffs Office is saying. An employee was tipping off the thieves by giving them information. The burglars knowing that the homeowners would be out of town and there would be no dogs around would then break into these homes with that information. Now police were able to arrest 23yearold ashley kirk. Investigators say it was kirk who was working at the petsmart and tipping off the thieves. Tonight, detectives have this message for customers. You cant be paranoid. You have to live your life. Obviously, you cant think that people are out to get you all of the time. You should be able to board your dog. We have been in touch with petsmart corporate from the beginning. They have been helpful in our investigation. Reporter the company says they are deeply concerned about the allegations of the burglaries by an associate and the company is cooperating with the authorities. There are at least two homes that have been burglarized because of what happened here at this petsmart. They say this is an Ongoing Investigation and there could be more victims out there. Christina chesterman was hit while riding home from the library. Her roommates says she saw her before she headed to the library. She was the best. She would have made the most amazing nurse. Caring, hard worker. Reporter police have arrested the suspected drunk driver named reilly hoover. He is facing several felony charges. Governor jerry brown has signed legislation calling for the development of an early earthquake warning system. This requires the state office of Emergency Services to develop a network of sensors across california. When completed, the system could provide people extra seconds of cover. It has been fairly windy out there and the winds continue at this hour. We are still looking at 22 miles an hour sustained winds in fairfield. 15 miles an hour in halfmoon bay and we are seeing gusts stronger than that. Satellite and radar picture, mainly clear skies over the bay area, you can see clouds an rain passingtous the north. We have a system digging in and moveing to the south. As it starts to move over northern california, we will see winds out of the north and the east pick up and that is leading to some fire concerns, especially in the higher terrains. This will be really tomorrow night into thursday and the peak wind gusts will be in the 45 to 55 miles an hour range. So a fire weather watch has been issued tomorrow night into thursday because of the gusty winds and the low humidity that will come with it. We are still going to see gusty winds down to the service in the valley floors. That will be 25 to 35 miles an hour gusts like we saw today. Temperature wise, we are looking at the low 70s in the south bay. Another two to five degrees of cooling over what we saw yesterday. As we take a look at our inland valleys, it will be the low 70s as well, 60s for east bay shoreline. 60s coast side. 70s through the north bay. Additional cooling from yesterday, today, tomorrow, the cooling friend really continuing as we head into tomorrow, so will the gusty winds. They will be a big issue.
