today, an mri confirmed a partial tear to the fibula and ligament in steph curry's left lay not an ideal situation for the golden state warriors who will now be without steph through the all-star break at the very least it happened last night during a massive game. you can see that leg as you saw a little bit of those. it buckled while steph was playing defense on mckinley wright tears him walking into the locker room. you can see heavy, heavy lift. now steve kerr said he has spoken with steph curry and steph as usual remavning optimistic. >> talked to him last night. he was in good he's always a half full guy. you know, the first thing he said to me good news is all you know, i'm going to be back. this is not. no not season ending. and that was his fear going into the mri. so he's in really good spirits. >> all right. now, as steve said, is not a season ending injury. but kate, it's going to be a couple weeks at the very least that the warriors >> will be without steph curry. who do you think has to step up most in his absence? >> well, obviously they're going to try to match his offensive production. so you're kind of relying on the usual ys, clay and andrew wiggins. and i must say andrew wiggins has not been playing very well he's not been putting up the production that they need from the expect from him when he's in that starting rotation. so he's a guy that i'm really going to be looking to get back to the way he was playing in the early part of the season. and then also jordan poole, of course, he's going to get a lot more starting minutes now that now that crews going to be out for a while. so those guys are really going have to step it up. yeah, jordan poole, he's averaging about 25 points per game. >> in the 30 games that he started this season. now. doctors have said this particular injury, that staff is suffering that suffered from. he could be out anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks. the warriors are trying to remain optimistic. they think maybe you can get that right after the all-star break, which would be about 2 weeks. yeah, maybe we can just i don't know what it's going to be a a be a tough, tough couple weeks without him. the warrior 17. and 25 without steph. over the last 2 years. all right. now getting back to the niners, as we mentioned earlier, this was the first weekend without niners football. in months. we had a bunch of niners play in the pro bowl. but we all know that's not to say that quite at all. a lot of niner fans are still reeling from that loss in philadelphia. last weekend's. okay. and i we took it upon ourselves to cheer. you are up. we have some of the best stuff coming up in this segment. some of best moments of the 49 ers season and we've got to start with, you know, the first one cmc. what the acquisition was he, kate? just incredible. it's almost hard to think that wasn't ever a niner this whole time. right? and not only. >> did he come in and make a huge impact? i think it was even bigger than the impact expected. yes, in this game right here. it's his 3 touchdown day. he became i forget the exact record. but one of 3 players and 3 players. yes, i damian tomlinson was one. he had a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown throwing touchdown and the niners beat their rival, the la rams. they always beat the rams really >> but it was just a sign of things to come. and i think that, kate, that acquisition in the year is really what turn this season around. in my opinion, it was kind of catalyst, catalyst for that long winning streak. >> they went on, you know, been a stalwart with the forty-niners for years now, our number 2 play nick bosa and we're going to throw back to the game in which he had 3 sacks. he was unstoppable against miami. just an incredibly rough day for tua tagovailoa and really kind of that started the beginning of the end of his season with the dolphins. nick bosa just had an incredible season. >> they they literally broke him that game like he like. you said he didn't play well for the rest of the season. bosa before the season. i said something along the lines of i think he can legitimately win a defensive player of the year and he's the odds-on favorite to win. and this was probably the best game of his the p o why season he was just a monster that entire day. alright, next play list. get to it. how about brock purdy? got to have some brock. >> this play right here. this was what i was like. wow, this guy might have some staying power when he made that gift back shoulder dime as being hit by a defender. it. >> it's crazy. yeah. well, one of the knocks on pretty the reason fell so low in the draft was that people thought he didn't have an arm, maybe not the deepest 5 ever seen. but i think that shows that he's gotten our money's got some accuracy yet. what made that? even better? just the theatrical this game was brock purdy versus tom brady. what's going to happen? and he out plays the go. it was just a sign of a of things to come. one of those things that he had an amazing connection with george kittle and none was better than this touchdown against the seahawks. they called it the hollywood play those the double pump fake and then rick white a little acting on the part of george kittle. he's pretending to block when in reality he was trying to get open, find a different lane runner out. works like a charm. and the pretty little connection was really great. all season. yeah, it really was. they also had that really play against dallas in the playoffs. but what made this night so special as well? one, it was brock first road game. first road game starting and then. >> he was also playing through bleak injury remembers a thursday night game. it was like monday tuesday and he was still listed as questionable. so he got it through bleak injury. he goes to seattle, which kate, you know, as well as anybody such a tough place to play tough place to win a division game. you know, seattle really wanted it and he got to win. so that just really showed what brock was made of. and then how about our last play? this guy? he? he was all over the field all year long breakout season for talanoa hufanga right there that pick 6 a >> he's going to be in the red and gold for a while. i think yeah. making his first pro bowl this year wasn't the only interception he had this season. he's going to be some of that. they really rely on and that secondary, yad niners, best defense in the nfl this season. he was a big reason why. >> him? fred warner bosa. they were so good on all 3 levels of that defense. and those are probably the top 3 guys on each level. it was a historic season. it stinks. that ended that way for them. you know, they lost so many quarterbacks. but you know what, sooner or later they're going to break through. i know this organization has a proud history. won a lot of super bowls. of course. but i feel like kyle shanahan. he's taken his lumps 60's right there. he's going to get through never to know they were super disappointed this season with the way things ended. they kind of felt like this was the year that they were going to break through in just a series of unfortunate events. but you know what? >> so it's bright. sure does. and we'll figure out what to do at that quarterback position. now, the provo that was today had a new format this season for the first time ever, there was no tackle football. the marquee event is now flag football. it was different. but i think i can skills challenge is we're cool allegiant stadium played host. >> and vegas for all the new fee at >> some niners got some actions. seahawks quarterback right here, geno smith. >> he got the ball right there to george kittle bounces off 2 defenders. just a little weird watching him play and not tackle from this time is kyle use check kyle use. check from twitter was like the mvp. does games really like it was all over twitter. smith floats it to him. that's a touchdown right there. kirk cousins. it's huge check. i remember payne and eli manning are the coaches. yeah, seriously. so the nfc they beat peyton manning in the afc peyton manning brothers. they're like must-see tv. i did not see that coming like them being so entertaining honestly, i both kind of dry during their career. was always funny and his insurance commercials. campaign was funny. they play off each really, really but that was your pro bowl. i guess a little consolation prize for the niners nfc one and you check in the company. >> at nice moments. all right. we're just getting
