Police say that one of those fired multiple shots during the incident. The victim believes that his work van was the target. And then the suspects followed him home. No injuries are reported new at 10 oclock, one person is dead and a second person critically injured when they were struck by a vehicle while walking in a marked crosswalk in burlingame. Police have released pictures of the suspected killer and his getaway car. This man is accused of killing june annabelle, who was the coowner of lucky 3, 7, restaurant in the fruitvale district. Police say and a bow was shot to death while leaving the restaurant with his son on the night of may 18th. No motive has been released in connection with the shooting. 2 people are recovering tonight after being shot last night. That happening the 900 block of international boulevard just after 08 00pm when officers arrived to the area, they found 2 people suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital. A 3rd victim was injured by flying glass during the shooting. The measure also led by San Francisco state senator scott wiener is designed to protect families with transgender children from under 18 are under the age of 18 from criminal prosecution. If they travel to california to get genderrelated health care, the new law takes effect on january. 1st newsom also signed a bill making family leave more affordable for more workers. The bill is expected to help those making as much as 57,000 a year qualifying lowincome workers can recover up to 90 of their income when they take sick time. The new law goes into effect in 2025. But instead only warming up into the mid 60s and even along the coast and east bay shoreline, widespread 60s there as well. Temperatures out there right now low to mid 60s with the exception of allay and santa rosa. 59 degrees with overnight lows tonight. Widespread low to mid and upper 50s with the exception of antioch, 61 degrees. So the one outlier in the bay area this evening, but temperatures tomorrow going to rebound very nicely. Still about 2 to 4 degrees above at or below average, i should say. But still we are going to see warmer temperatures for the 2nd half of the weekend with concord and livermore. 81 degrees. 71 degrees for oakland and napa and san jose in the mid 70s. So comfortable temperatures there with downtown San Francisco. No one complaining along the coast, 68 degrees. So taking a look ahead at the next 7 day outlook. How many people either were directly affected or knew somebody that was affected. In 2017, the tubbs fire that ravaged napa and sonoma counties was the most destructive wildfire in state history. About 6,000 buildings were burned to the ground and more than 20 people were killed. It took 4 months to contain every inch of the blaze that spanned 36,000 acres. Well, this week marks the 5th year since the top fire erupted on the hot and windy night and survivors. We talked with there still reeling from the past and living with the trauma today. But somehow the pain gave way to some comfort kron fours Ella Sogomonian has the story. Tens of thousands of people woke up to the sounds of sirens and crackling flames in the Early Morning hours on october 8, 2017 was a dark and comfortably warm night ferocious winds that pushed flames across sonoma and napa counties. People were forced to abandon their homes and the lifes a new within minutes. But this is probably the most catastrophic event ive ever been to in my life and its i think it will leave a mark on the community and myself for years to come. 5 years later, that sentiment holds true. We met monica bravo just days after her found grove home was one of thousands of buildings leveled by what was later dubbed the tubbs fire. She says people are still trying to get through the trauma together. Its still happening. 5 years later. Right. And then now we get together every other breath work. So its like everybody gets together. We can that we released, but were really connected. Bravo took her kids out to ice cream to kick off the weekend and enjoy some sunshine. But even then they couldnt help but be conscious of the dry heat and theyre like, well, lets just pray that it rains. I can actually feel the heat many First Responders learned that their own homes are consumed by the flames. Well, they work to protect other peoples property. It was incredible sight to see how many people were focused you know, not just on their world situation but focused on making sure that they were continuing to respond to the needs of the community.
