As the judge set a three hundred thousand dollar bond. 3 days after he was involved in a police shooting, Isaiah Mothershed made his First Court Appearance thursday afternoon. It is believe that you committed these offenses. Based on your financial circumstances, i have appointed attorney matt metzgar to represent you. Over the last 3 months, the 18 yearold has been linked to several Violent Crimes where he utilized crowbars, pistol whipped a victim, assualted a 19yearold man with special needs, and nearly shot a woman, to the latest incident Sioux City Police officer on february 7th. I would advise you now that you now that you are not required to make a statement and any statement you do make may be used against you during trial. He was also 3 arrested in july of last year for kidnapping two juveniles, but he was later released and those charges were dismissed. Now, are learning more about the Violent Crimes committed over the last 3 months. Entered a home in the 2200 block of pierce street where he allegedly stole guns and pistol whipped the victim forcing him to open a safe that contained several guns. That spree continued, on february 5th he he broke into a residence with a crowbar in the 4500 block of polk street where he was confronted by the homeowner and mothershed shot out the back window of the home to escape and fired a shot at a women. February 6th, he lured a victim to valley park apartments, and held her 7th, he pulled a 40caliber handgun, shooting officer ryan moritz on the inner thigh of his left leg. Mothersheds charges, each a class b felony, carry a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison. I do have to advise you that if convicted of those charges, mothershed would be required to serve 70percent of that sentence before being eligible for parole or work release. A preliminary hearing for Isaiah Mothershed will take place on february 19th at 9 a. M. Reporting at the Law Enforcement center in sioux city, im Jetske Wauran, siouxland news. 3 3 a man arrested in 2014 for impersonating a Sioux City Police officer will spend the next few years behind bars. 31 year old joey alberts of sioux city was sentenced to 7 years in prison. He was accused of impersonating an officer and patrolling downtown sioux city for more than a year. Patting down young girls between the ages of 11 and agreement. Alberts pleaded guilty to charges of enticing a minor, indecent contact with a minor, and impersonating a public official. The 2 year sentences for the indecent contact and impersonating charges will be served concurrently. Nats from beethoven to Tchaikovsky Nats to singing forever nats thousands of 4th graders across siouxland got a first hand look at the sioux city orchestra. Titled the sioux city orchestras users guide. This annual event gives students an introduction to instruments and the expression of emotions through music.
