Theyre going to merge somewhere we think around the carolinas and virginia, exit into the ocean and then moves to the north northeast and hugs the shoreline a lot of rain and smaller snow totals along the shore. Bigger snow totals inland. If it pushes further out to sea, okay, now it goes further out to sea the warm air stays with it further out to sea its all snow from everybody from washington, d. C. Reporter outside groups like brookings and Standard Poors have already predicted the club plan could lead 10 million to 15 million americans to lose coverage because it scales back obamacares subsidies, cuts medicaid, and eliminates the individual mandate. How many people are going to lose coverage . I cant answer that question. Reporter house Speaker Paul Ryan told face the nation the plan will unleash Market Forces that will boost coverage. Eventually. What we are trying to achief here is bringing down the cost of care, bringing down the cost of insurance, not through government mandates and monopolies, but by having more choice and competition. It seems to me that it might be a problem in selling this if they cant tell you whos going to be covered. Well thats a big number. Its a simple thing to look at. How many people are going to be covered . And the white house and the president have said everybody who is on obamacare will be covered. The president in fact has gone further. He said everybodys going to be covered. And the reason that this is a problem is regardless of the number that cbo comes up with, it will come up with a number that will be bad. Whether that is 1 million off or 2 million off it centers in on the uncertainty surrounding any big piece of legislation like this. And uncertainty is whats driving the political pressure here thats getting us in trouble. Is it possible that the people who were part of the core supporters of donald trump will lose some of their coverage and rise up against him . Theres been plenty of analysis that shows that. That shows that the trump voter is the one that has the most to be uncertain and fearful about. About this. And also, you know, the republican plan that paul ryan has put forward is a theory, and hes done a lot of work on this. But hes got to sell his colleagues on a theory that he believes in passionately, and that he thinks is really going to cover more people. But those other colleagues have to face the political pressure of the trump voters, of their own voters, and of these numbers which are not going to look good this was a big campaign promise. We saw a clip from a year ago donald trump said it will be cheaper, more people will be covered, it will be better. Yet the republicans have had two years to work on it, theyre not on the same page. Have you ever tried to go out to dinner with your high school friends. You can agree youre all going to dinner, somebody wants italian, somebody wants chinese. Somebody wants sushi and thats where we are now. And then youve got cbo coming in and saying no youve got to all have when you dont even know how much its going to cost. Thats why the reason thats important is that you have senator tom cotton and others saying wait a minute slow down, dont do this quickly. Why is that important . A you want to get it right. But b if you pass a bill thats been rushed through, then critics have ammunition if it doesnt work out the way you said to say hey no wonder it didnt work out well you rushed it through. Speaking of facts and evidence. One thing that you talked to speaker ryan about is whether hes seen any evidence of this charge that the president made, that president Obama Wiretapped trump tower. Paul ryan is part of the gang of eight which means he gets together with the Intelligence Leaders in congress the most sensitive information. I asked him did you see any proof that this wiretap that President Trump said exists. He said no. Flat out. So thats yet another person now who has said theyve seen no evidence that a wiretap existed. And thats such an incendiary charge for the president to have made that without apparent evidence. How is they going to play itself out . It will play itself out in that there are now two committees looking at this. They will render a judgment yea or nay did this happen. Then what level of evidence he had to make this claim. Did he have something to put it on . Or was he just doing it on a whim . Lastly the president s budget is coming out on thursday and were going to see a wig change there. A big change. Thats his core message. Shrink government, stop having to do this the stupid stuff, and put the money towards towards defense, mainly. And thats his priorities were going to see that in this document. The Washington Post reports that the president s impending Budget Proposal is likely to include cuts to the federal workforce on a level unseen since a drawdown after world war ii. Fire officials in pennsylvania believe it was a hoverboard that was responsible for this house fire in harrisburg that killed 3yearold Ashanti Hughes and critically injured two others. I heard some sizzling and crackling in the hoverboard and shortly thereafter it exploded in flames. Reporter the family was charged a hoverboard on the first floor when the fire started friday night. Lieutenant dennis duvoe was responding. He was a 21yearold veteran of the Fire Department involved in a faye tar car accident while responding to the call.
