We were kind of driving through medians, driving through ae lawn, speeding along and then finally once he came to a stop, i jumped out of the car and ran away. Reporter police say just hours later, that same man Jason Brian Dalton began a series of random shootings. The first victim was an unidentified woman at the omadows townhomes on the outskirts of kalamazoo were shot multiple times and is expected to survive. Approximately four hours later and eight miles away, 53 year old Richard Smith and his 17 year old son tyler were fatally shot while looking at cars at the Seely Ford Kia dealership. 15 minutes later, five people were gunned down in their othicles in the parking lot of a ackeker barrel restaurant along interstate 94. Among the victims there were mary lou nye, 62. Mary jo nye, 60, dorothy brown, 74, and barbara hawthorne, 68. Ng14 year old passenger in one of the vehicles remains in grave condition. C was just after midnight when a senior sheriffs deputy spotted the 45 year olds car leaving the parking lot of a downtown kalamazoo bar. Dalton surrendered without a fight.
