We have this area of High Pressure over us resulting in a return to near normal temperatures before a return to a normal kind of pattern. A little ripple off the coast will help to draw the fog away from the coast by saturday and sunday. This reduces the weight of the atmosphere over our heads. This should help to remove a hint of the possibility of air quality issues, not that we really had any today. There were yellow dots sprinkled in the north bay but good air quality readings across the map. These update much more frequently, so this gives us an idea of what things look like. Some of the smoke will be drifting down towards us but you see that we are at the low end of the scale in terms of the concentration of the smoke, so i dont think it will be enough to send us and anything worse than a moderate air quality level and even that is most likely just for the north bay and east bay valleys. Everybody else should see plenty of green on the air quality map by wednesday afternoon. Looking towards the golden gate, there is the fog sneaking through. Temperatures today were around or slightly below normal with a little warmup in store sending us back to average to high temperatures. We had mid 80s in concord and santa rosa. We stay below 60 degrees in pacifica which is also below 70. That temperature should hit the 60s by tomorrow afternoon as the fog backs away from the coast. We start off with fairly widespread fog to begin the day wednesday and that is where it dissipates. It will take a little bit longer on the coast but even as we head towards lunch time i think it is more likely as we get into early afternoon. Temperatures tonight drop down to a mix of upper 50s and the warmest spot staying at 60 degrees. High temperatures tomorrow, once again everybody is within a degree or two of what is normal. It is mostly mid to upper 80s in the trivalley with upper 80s for the north bay and low 80s in the santa clara valley. We have mid60s on the coast.
