Most families down to them live close enough, so a lot of kids will end up not being able to attend the schools they want to and be forced to go to the neighborhood schools that dont offer the academic rigor that they need. Reporter tonight, ac transit is having a Board Meeting to discuss whether they will keep providing services to students who attend skyline high school, Manteo Middle School and skyline elementary school. Its a bus 1600 out of 2500 students take every day. Some parents have put out a letter to ac transit and they are encouraging others to sign it, explaining that their students already pay to use the bus. If this route goes away, other buses stop near the school but not right in front of them. We are about the business of education. A silh transit is about transportation. Reporter a few years ago, the state changed how the district was funded in this bus problem as a result of dollars being redistributed there really is no money now for this process to cover ac transits help with students.
