Two other passengers were also hurt. Witnesses say five people had to sit on the man and use zip ties to hold him down until the plane returned to seattle. We could see the scuffling going all over, the Flight Attendants ran back and it was a code 3, serious fight up front. Law enforcement removed the man from the plane. The flight left for beijing later that night. We have new video of a wildfire in southern california. It started just last night outside of los angeles. You can see it was burning very close to several homes. Crews were able to get it under control before it damaged any of the buildings. They are keeping an eye on hot spots this morning. Reporter firefighters still dont know what sparked the fire, just that it started here, burned those cypress trees and just missed the homes next door before spreading fast. It was fully blazing. These right here just with flames on them, just lit up jumping over here on my house. Reporter wanda watched as flames hit the trees near her house. She says she had one fear. That it was gonna blow up. Reporter before that could happen, neighbors put out the flames with garden hoses. I was surprised i still had eyebrows when i was done. Reporter the fire changed course, ripping past the homes through the backyard and into open space before burning onto a grassy field on nearby Travis Air Force base. The base brought in a special truck to battle the fire. Firefighters say their biggest challenge . The wind, fastmoving fire through the grass. Reporter chopper 5 captured a herd of grazing cattle ambling close to the fireline at the base as firefighters tried to shoo them away. The fire hit 40 acres and burned down a trailer and shed. Wanda says it could have been worse. If it hadnt been for the neighbors, this house wouldnt be standing. Less than 30 miles away in yolo county, hundreds of firefighters are battling a grass fire in winters. Heres what that fire looked like from the air last night. Two communities are evacuated. So far the fire has burned 1600 acres along highway 128. The highway is now closed near Lake Berryessa dam and at last check, that fire was 15 contained. Here in the bay area, we are going to have windy conditions leading to high fire danger here. Exactly. In fact, a park staff member recorded this video just feet away from the cat. But its sticking around and theyre not sure why. Despite the warning signs, it didnt keep people from hitting the other open trails. Thats an offshore flow. By tomorrow well start to see the gathering of some stratus around the san mateo coast. It fills in rapidly. So if you need any relief from the heat this weekend, you head due west to the immediate seashore where in daly city our temperatures will be 65 degrees or under. Sunshine on sunday, increasing cloud cover again monday. Okay. Lets take it back a little notch for you here. First off, we have High Pressure building in over the four corners states. We are going to see another modest heat wave because of the proximity of this dome of High Pressure. We are tapping into it with the winds in a clockwise fashion around the area of High Pressure bringing the warmer weather from the Desert Southwest into our inland areas, not affected by this heat wave the coast. A little bit of warming around the bay and peninsula. Mid90s to high 90s in throughout the Sacramento Valley today. 104 in fresno, almost as hot here today as it will be in the San Joaquin Valley in our inland areas 100 easily in livermore. 100 easily in the fairfield area. 96 in santa rosa. 80s around the peninsula. Very comfortable around the bay today. 71 degrees in pacifica. Havent seen that in weeks. Your extended forecast does call for that right there, a tad cooler on saturday and sunday. But still in the 90s through monday. Seasonal highs tuesday through thursday. If you are heading to the Alameda County fairgrounds, plan on today some very hot weather in the mid to upper 90s at the midway, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. If you need that relief this weekend, the stern grove festival is sunday in San Francisco. Low clouds, cool conditions, and 60 degrees. Well, im going to head on to the east bay and come visit you for nice hot weather on the water. Right now, were tracking some pretty good driving conditions. If you are in the south bay, good morning, everyone, this is 101 at trimble and headlights are heading southbound. [ loud background noise ] you can see traffic is moving along just fine. Heading to our maps, you can see we are tracking some slowdowns along southbound 101. Now, we have no reports of any accidents or stalls along this stretch. We are looking to see whats going on. But we could still have some overnight roadwork that remains in place and thats slowing everyone down. Well have more on that coming up. But for now, just expect speeds below the limit on southbound 101 right around 60 Miles Per Hour and thats between 680 and 880. 101 at 380, just north of sfo, your ride looking pretty good. Moving right at the limit there, no reports of any accidents or stalls. We are tracking a problem on the lower deck of the bay bridge. This is blocking at least one lane. Its a car that broke down and is just right before treasure island. You can see speeds fairly just below the limit there right around 49 Miles Per Hour. I believe the cruising speed on that stretch is 50. So no delays. Over at the bay bridge toll plaza, looking good. No backup, no metering lights. Anchor outs in sausalito have been an issue in some time but as emily turner explains the city is making major changes in how it deals with the waterfront. Reporter when it comes to the fight against illegal anchor outs and waterfront safety sausalito is striking out on its own, leaving the Richardson Bay regional able tocy, or rbra, and taking full control of the enforcement of the coastline, something not done in more than 30 years. We have noticed theres every the last several years the number of vessels in our waterways has increased. If it increases, it will be quality of life and crime issues as well as debris vessels being left out on the water. Reporter the city is taking back its 125,000 it used to give the rbr a and will instead pay for a parttime Patrol Officer and harbor assistant just for sausalito a much more effective option he says compared to the one man the rbra hires to patrol the entire bay. There are moments out there on the right tide where literally theres some submerged pieces of boat, if you will, that are somewhat dangerous. Reporter but thats already begun to change. These are pictures of boats Sausalito Police have pulled from the water in the last three weeks a move made possible by the other piece of its new and improved waterfront plan. Laws. Some haventupdated since the 30s allowing derelict boats to wash ashore or wreak havoc afloat. But in three weeks, six boats have been removed. Its a good start and may continue. Think thats a great idea. I think for a number of reasons, safety for paddlers out there, safety for the other boaters, um, just, you know, beautifying the landscape, if you will.
