Reporter as for the fire itself it burned 150 acres 60 homes in the town of foresta evacuated as a precaution. No homes have been damaged. The white house plans to announce new measures in the next couple of days. If people were infected, they could display symptoms starting this week. Each and every one of them is having their temperature monitored. As of today none of them are sick. None of them has a fever. A San Francisco Police Officer shot and killed a man blocks from at t park after the game last night. Two auto burglary suspects shot around 9 p. M. One died at the hospital, the second wounded, third suspect in custody right now. Police saw three men in a sedan who appeared to be casing parked cars. Investigators say the men then stole items from an suv, got back in the car near 2nd and bryant streets. When officers approached them, one of the men pulled out a gun and refused to drop it. Thats when one of the officers opened fire. New concerns this morning over the relationship between pg e and state regulators. Emails have surfaced that show improper contact between them. Yesterday a Consumer Watchdog Group asked a judge to bar all private communications between the cpuc and the states largest utility. The judge is considering fines up to 200 million against pg e for emails and improper conversations with state regulators in the wake of the deadly san bruno pipeline explosion. The ntsb will lead the investigation this morning. Nick janes from our sisters station kovr is at the fire scene. Reporter good morning. It was a horrific scene witnessed yesterday afternoon by locals and even some children who saw the plane come down in a fiery wreckage that ensued. People took pictures of the crash, the immediate aftermath which you can see here. The crash site is atop a cliff, a 2500foot cliff as witnesses say the air tanker looked like it went out of control and came straight down. The plane is one of 23 kept around california in case of wildfires and its a common sight around here especially this summer especially with the Drought Conditions we have been having. Ken yager who shot these photographers calls the crash devastating. It was horrible. Thank god i didnt witness it. Some of the local kids did. Its horrible. This community has had fires off and on for years and its a challenging place to fight tires. Reporter cal fire said the pilot was the only person on board and died. His family is asking that his name be withheld until the the rest of the family is notified. We are already hearing in this area there is talk of a Memorial Fund for the pilots family to show how much firefighters are appreciated in this area and later this morning, in several hours, cal fire is planning to hold a Media Briefing to update us on the fire itself, which forced evacuations yesterday. And of course, how this crash happened. Thats one question we have no answer to. The circumstances as to how this air tanker came crashing down still very unclear. At yosemite, nick janes, kpix 5. New this morning, samesex couples can now get married in idaho and nevada. A federal Appeals Court overturned samesex bans in both states yesterday. The mandate means that couples in idaho wont have to wait for the standard 7 days for the ruling to take effect. But in nevada, a judge still must issue an order over turning the ban before samesex couples can get married. A house goes up in flames in san joses willow glen neighborhood. Everyone inside got out except for the families two poodles. Thats the homeowner actually going back into the house to get the dog. Neighbors watched in horror as the fire picked up steam. Better news the accident in the sunol grade you have been watching for a while finally out of there approaching andrade. Still sluggish from the dublin interchange so that whole commute westbound 580 to southbound 680 slow like it often is, unfortunately. Northbound traffic still good in oakland. Southbound 880 we had a crash at whipple. Still there. It is on the righthand shoulder. So not blocking lanes but very heavy right now from san leandro. You can see the delays beyond 238 now. To corte madera this morning, we have clear skies and the moon, the Lunar Eclipse overnight the moon about ready to set looking good. They have some clear skies there. And it looks like a beautiful full moon. Of course, it was red and orange a little bit earlier on. But now looks like returning to normal and we are going to be returning to normal over the next couple of days. We are going to see more fog and low clouds and that will help to cool down the temperatures a little more so today and even more as we head into tomorrow. So for today, we have mostly sunny skies this afternoon remaining cloudy at the coastline. And then offshore winds, we are going to warm back up this next weekend but the next few days going to drop the temperatures off as High Pressure begins to weaken and slide further to the east. That will be enough to allow the low clouds and fog to penetrate further onshore as we head into the next couple of days. Temperatures in the Central Valley 96 degrees in sacramento. 94 in fresno. 71 into monterey bay. Around the bay this afternoon a lot of sunshine in the south bay some 70s and 80s there. Mid60s toward Half Moon Bay and pacifica with the fog. Youre looking at 87 in pleasanton. 87 also in concord. And 85 degrees in penn. Inside the bay 69 degrees, patchy fog into San Francisco and 74 degrees in oakland. Out over the in excouple of days, we are going to watch out over the next couple of days temperatures drop off but over the weekend we have fleet week, the blue angels, the aircraft carriers so we want some nice weather.
