We report on the unrest and new details about Michael Browns shooting. Reporter at the end of this, were going to be classed as insurgents. Reporter police and protestors facing off again monday. Missouri governor jay nixon removed the curfew but the scene remains the same. Molotov cocktails thrown. Protestors arrested. Police firing tear gas to disperse crowds. I got hit with a cannister and then it dropped at many i feet. And ex my feet and exploded. And i kind of hit the floor and i couldnt breathe. It felt like my lungs like i was underwater and i was drowning. Reporter the only noticeable difference monday is the presence of the National Guard. These are military police that are there for a narrow task. And that task is to protect that command center. Reporter meanwhile, a woman identifying herself only as jasie called into the radio laying out officer wilsons version of the shooting. Michael just bum rushes him and just shoves him back into his car and punches him in the face. Reporter a source with detailed knowledge of the investigation says this account matches what wilson has told investigators. But a pathologist hired by the family tells a different story. There werent signs of a struggle. Reporter his autopsy shows that brown was shot twice in the head and four times in the right arm. In ferguson, missouri, im january pomeranz. San jose, northbound 101 at mckey road and you can see the backup there. This is kind of were seeing the usual commuter traffic and then this accident is not helping it. It is backed up to tully. Bay bridge metering lights were turned on a touch earlier than usual right around 5 40. 5 42ish. So again youre backed up already from the maze and just a little bit past 6th. The east shore freeway is already kind of a mess on westbound 80 we have that earlier crash. It was a four car accident. And for a while had debris scattered all over the roadway. It was approaching ashby. Traffic is pretty much solid all the way back beyond carlton now to Golden Gate Fields and then heavy through berkeley. Southbound 101 at spencer this accident now in the final clearing stages. But look at that were seeing a big delay usually marin county still in the clear right now and very heavy traffic right now in those southbound lanes of 101 even though theyre beginning to reopen lanes. Right now. All right lets get a check of the forecast i think the weather is contributing a lot of the accidents to a lot of the accidents. Heres lawrence. We are seeing some very heavy drizzle this morning. As low pressure spins along the coastline just enough to deepen the marine layer and that marines that drizzle showing up along the coastline and inside the bay even. That low going to spin out of town and once it does i think well have lots of sunshine. In fact this afternoon a mix of sunshine and clouds and mild temperatures though. 70s inside the bay. Warm 8 s in the valleys with the coast seeing some patchy drizzle and some fog. Out the door right now cloudy skies just about everywhere can temperatures now in the 50s and the 60s. By the afternoon, some sunshine and about 82 in concord. 78 degrees in the napa valley. Some sun there. 66 and partly cloudy into San Francisco. Thats a look at weather guys back to you. Thank you lawrence. Theres some fire danger up in the sierra foothills with an Evacuation Order near Yosemite National park. The junction fire started near oak hurst yesterday afternoon. Last night phone calls went out to some 13,000 homes and businesses telling everyone to evacuate. Theres been two injuries with the fire so far. The highway 41 entrance to yosemite right now is closed. And pg e has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges linked to the san bruno pipeline disaster. The San Francisco based utility faced 28 counts in court yesterday that include obstructing the federal investigation into the 2010 explosion and fire and violating the Pipeline Safety act. Regarding the safety violations, pg e said either mistakes were made, employees did act in good faith. Developing news, a live look at the port of oakland where the israel Hamas Conflict sparked an ongoing protest. It started saturday when thousands blocked the ship called thepy reus from docking. The ship is partly owned by the Israeli Government and the protestors are angry about israels military actions in gaza. Deputy Erick Gelhaus killed 13 yearold andy lopez back in october. After he says lopez refused to drop the weapon he was carrying. It was later discovered to be a toy pellet gun. Despite numerous protests though the da cleared gelhaus of wrongdoing. Some wild car side shows stopped traffic on oakland streets and freeways over the weekend. A two car crash possibly blocking lanes westbound 580 through the Livermore Valley. This drive time no accidents, it is longer than normal. Its already heavy. Heading from the Livermore Valley to the dublin interchange. All right thats the latest and very busy kcbs traffic morning. Lets get an update on the forecast. Lots of fog around bay area. Low clouds moving on shore and some very heavy drizzle. Heavy enough that were actually seeing some puddling on the roadways near the coastline. Out the door we go the clouds are swell on shore and being helped by the area of low pressure that is just off the coastline right now. Thats deepened the marine layer, now by the afternoon were going to have a mixture of sunshine and some clouds away from the coastline, slightly cooler temperatures. Then i think we have warmer weather ahead especially as we look to thursday and friday. This low though spinning off the coast thats been enough to deepen that marine layer and bring some heavy drizzle along the coastline. It will start to sag to the south throughout the day today and by tomorrow it moves into Southern California. So looks like some improving weather ahead. Still 90s in the central valley. About 77 degrees in lake tahoe. About 69 degrees in monterey bay and some drizzle. Low clouds and fog very thick this morning and then surging back on shore in through early tomorrow morning. Maybe some more drizzle too but probably not as heavy as this morning. The suv simply was driven away after the blast. Four people are facing charges connected with a slaughter house that was shout down earlier this year. Two owners and two employees are accused of processing and distributing meat from condemned and diseased cattle. A federal grand jury says they processed the meat while usda inspectors were on lunch break. Theyre accused of selling bad meat and that led to a nationwide recall. We feel really betrayed. This this whole sordid affair is motivated by money and greed. Rancher bill ninam just destroyed 400,000 of meat he wouldnt sell because of the couldnt sell because of the inspection scandal. No one is getting any money back in San Francisco. About 2,000 fans never got in to see the Paul Mccartney concert last week because they were stuck in traffic. Concert promoter another Planet Entertainment announced yesterday no refunds. A spokesperson said ape quote cant be responsible for people who couldnt plan accordingly. There were delays up to four hours from the backup on highway 101 near the stadium. And you always anticipate traffic but four hours . That was a big one and it was the last thing at candlestick. I dont think they were prepared for it but a lot of folks i guess just got out of the cars, we cant get in . Here we are. I feel bad for the guys because four hour delay . Come on. A number of accidents even though it seems like things are improving in some spots. Petaluma because now countercommute northbound 101 at East Washington street. A pickup truck actually skidded across all lanes. Delays both directions out of downtown petaluma. Better news though through sauce sausalito. No delay on the sensors and actually looks great between sausalito and San Francisco. They have four southbound lanes open now across the Golden Gate Bridge heading to the toll plaza. Busy morning still at the bay bridge. The metering lights were turned on even a will thible bit before a little bit before 5 45 when its normal. You are stacked up through the macarthur maze and westbound 580 still very slow approach. Weve seen a big improvement. You know weve kind of got combination of late running road work and the earlier accident in berkeley. Approaching golden gate field and now things just remain heavier than usual but again this is improvement from just a half hour ago from richmond into berkeley and emery vail. Westbound 580 traveling through the Livermore Valley you will see some more crowded conditions. You can see the drive lime this at the bottom of the screen, heavy between Altamont Pass and 680. It does loosen up past vasco road and in oakland still looks great near the coliseum. Thats traffic back to you guys. More protests in ferguson, missouri. More than a week after a Police Officer killed an African American teenager there. Susan mcginnis reports it started peacefully but spiraled into another tense night of confrontations. Good morning. Reporter hey, good morning frank. Well, we are at a Police Command center, this is where you find the National Guard. You might see some of the troops some of the vehicles here right now. There was a lot of hope that their presence would bring some peace to this streets offering son, that was not the case of ferguson, that was not the case last night. Protesters remained on the street in ferguson, missouri overnight, even as police fired tear gas and flash grenades in their direction. Officers in riot gear formed a line several officers deep then moved in on demonstrators. Arresting several who broke an order to keep moving. Missouri state Highway Patrol captain ron johnson said those disrupting the community are from out of town. Im not going to let the criminals that have come out here from across this country or live in this community define this neighborhood and define what were going to do to make it right. Reporter people in the community have been out in full force trying to maintain peace. Johnson pressed for those protesting to come out during the daylight to avoid the chaos. Make your voices heard where you can be seen and we are not the cover for violent agitators. Reporter units are now in the city from the National Guard protecting a police staging area but could be called on if things get worse. In order to change the results, we have to change the strategy. Reporter on monday missouri native and rapper nelly joined demonstrators in ferguson. Tensions in the black community have been heightened since Michael Brown an unarmed black teenager was shot to death by a white Police Officer Darren Wilson last week. An independent autopsy done by the brown family revealed he was shot six times. En colluding twice including twice in the head. Witnesses said brown had his arms up and worseneddering at the time but a forensic expert said monday thats still inconclusive. Schools here are closed again today because of the unrest. And frank everyone is just wondering if today will be another day with the same scenario, peaceful protests later in the day and deteriorating into violence and everyone is wondering if the National Guard might actually be deployed if theres more unrest downtown. We know the white house is involved now. The attorney general every eric holder will arrive there sometime tomorrow. What do they hope he accomplishes there . Reporter the tore general is part of the federal investigation, remember there are two investigations going on. One at the federal level and one of the state level. Attorney general eric holder will neat with fbi arable meet with fbi officials and other local officials as part of the investigation. Home builders not exactly dancing in the streets but happy after a very busy month of july. Commerce Department Reports that new Home Construction rebounded 15. 7 higher in july. Following those declines two straight months and then further encouragement Building Permits up 8. 1 . Meaning well see strong gains going forward. The bulk of this is multifamily building Apartment Building up 33 in the month of july. As builders look to take advantage of that big demand for rental space. Decent news for consumers as far as inflation goes. The Labor Department says consumers inflation rose only. 1 in july. Although prices at the pump were down by. 3 . So bit of relief there. Overall, consumer side inflation up 2 but with the past 12 months thats still within the federal reserves comfort range as it tries to determine when it will finally hike its benchmark interest rate. Various retailers are reporting some Solid Earnings and that includes home depot. Its sales up over 10 to more than 23 billion. Thats helping out the stock market in the early going after a big session on monday. Lets take a look at the big boards and see how were doing so far. Sunrise into the central lee 90s into the central central lee and 69 with some patchy fog in the monterey bay this afternoon. 70s and much of the south bay although well see some 80s to gilroy. 60s out along the coastline. Stale lot of snipe this afternoon and some 80s well inland but all the temperatures about two to five degrees below the average for this time of year. As we look toward the next couple of days, well see some cooler than normal temperatures but then on thursday can friday, High Pressure and friday, High Pressure begins to sneak back in warming up the temperatures slightly. Is it silver or black . Is it colorful . So under 1,000, its pretty much a commodity product. So go ahead and focus on design and finally, speaking of design, maybe its not a laptop in totality. Maybe its a hybrid. There are these laptops that basically set up as laptops and can fold back into a tablet. So i wouldnt recommend going for a tablet as your main device but if you still want that experience, you can get a hybrid. How about shopping . Where do you go now . You go to cnet. Com okay. Theyre getting a little easier to buy and more affordable. Yeah at one point we went way down in the other direction to like hundred dollars net 300 netbooks and way back up to premium laptops. Now the nice middle range where you spend anywhere from 600 to 1,000 and you have a great tap lop. Apple versus the others . Its really a matter of preference, windows 8 ships with the windows laptops. Thats something you definitely need to get used to.
