You have google that continues to build out their presence and you have facebook of course who continues to need more resources. Google, apple, intel and adobe were accused of violating federal antitrust laws by agreeing not to hire away each others employees. If this had gone to trial, we would have seen some pretty wide ranging consequences in Silicon Valley culture. These companies seem to have dodged that bullet in a pretty big way. Had it gone to trial, the plaintiffs would have sought 3 billion which under antitrust law could have gone up to 9 billion. The trial was set to begin next month. Terms of the deal have not been released. The bill requiring a kill switch on cell phones died in the state senate today. It was two votes shy of a majority. In less than an hour developers will propose replacing a san mateo ice rink with some retail stores. A lot of Community Members are not happy about it. Signs on the bad locked doors of the bridge point ice rink say were closed. The ice rink shut down last june. Developers will hold a Community Meeting to explain the retail plans but 15,000 people have already signed a petition opposing the move. We hope that the council will vote for the people. We have had booths at the hillsdale mall. Everybody wants to keep the rink. Only the developer would like to demolish it for a store. Zoning laws are standing in the way of the plans . Reporter police say the victim was following crooks she caught in the act. They noticed her and they killed her. Thats according to investigators. It turned this block into a crime scene that rocked this neighborhood. She was trying to look out for the neighborhood. Reporter when friends found out what judy salamon did right before her death, they werent surprised. She was very at amount about justice and things she was very adamant about justice and things being right. Reporter thats one of the reasons her fairfax neighbors were so shocked. Now nine months after the murder they may finally know how it happened. Police say judy saw something illegal going on so she took out her cell phone and started recording. Then she followed the men here to fern street. When they noticed judy was on to them, police say mario floyd and stephon lee stopped, shot and killed the 66yearold. A breaking story we first told you about at 5 00, updating it, we now know three people are in Critical Condition after a school bus crash. This happened in anaheim down south. The three include the bus driver and two of the children who were aboard. At least nine other kids have minor injuries. The driver was trapped inside. Firefighters had to free him before they could get him to the hospital. Police spent the day trying to figure out why an 84year old man tried to shoot a doctor in daly city. We saw officers looking for clues at the suspects home in daly city. He has been identified as 84 yearold raymond iwase. We spoke to a friend of his this afternoon. Two officers in the police car were treated at the hospital for minor injuries. A san jose apartment burned after police say someone accidentally placed a match on a couch. Reporter the woman from san jose recently played the lottery using a set of numbers found inside a Fortune Cookie. The portugese native matched five out of six numbers, everything but the mega.
