The one downtown that youre referring to is the mayors choice. Thats really in the old section of las vegas. I dont want to say decripid run down area but an area that has not been built new like the strip behind me. The Las Vegas Authority does not like that site. They like this site. Theres a second site theyre considering but its too close to mccarren. Were about a mile away from the airport and they say any closer than that could be unsafe for the fans. The raiders sent out this e mail to season ticketholders. Offering to let them make a 100 deposit on a personal seat license. And tickets to lure them to las vegas. So it begins. Other news a scalding hot cup of coffee put a toddler in the hospital with serious burns. Firefighters were called out to this starbucks just after 9 00 this morning. The 2yearold suffered serious burns to his face and arms after the hot drink somehow spilled. The child was air lifted to Uc Davis Burn Center for treatment. A fourth person has died in an Apartment Fire in west oakland. Smoke still coming from that building. Jessica florez shows us the building was filled with safety hazards. Jessica. Reporter well fire inspectors found 11 safety problems in the building just three days before the deadly fire. And today firefighters say theyve combed through the entire building they believe they are recovered all of the bodies. Reporter more than 24 hours after the fire started, firefighters still battling flair ups at the west oakland apartment building. Inside rescuers found four bodies. Among the dead, 64yearold Edward Anderson and 50yearold cassandra robertson, the city knew the building had safety issues. The city found Violations Including the fire alarm system, the fire sprinkler system, smoke detectors and fire extinguisher. The conditions were appalling.
