Robberies increased slightly from 1525 to 1594. And burglaries were down by 10 dropping from 2551 to 2541. Now, this was number 40 homicide number 41 of year started sunday night and continued well into monday morning. Finally ending 15 hours later. Police were called to the Corona Heights area for a shooting. They said one woman was rushed to the hospital where she later died, and the second gunman may be the womans son. Police custody after a search that spanned alabama to florida. 24yearold Brady Andrew Kilpatrick was arrested l this escaped inmate is back in custody after a search that spanned alabama to florida. The 24yearold was arrested last night after Law Enforcement surrounded the Martin County community where he was hiding. Kilpatrick was one of 12 inmates who broke out of an alabama prison sunday. They allegedly tricked a new guard by using Peanut Butter to cover an exit door sign. The guard accidentally led them right through the doorway and now all 12 of the escaped inmates have been arrested. A new report from the San Francisco Police Department says several types of crimes are on the rise. Jackie ward has more from the newsroom. Caltrans has decided to build a new road over a stretch of highway 1 leading to big sur that was buried in a massive mudslide. More than a million tons of earth came crashing down in may when the hillside gave way. Caltrans says it could take a year to reopen the route.
