Shooting in San Franciscos haightashbury last night. They say a man was shot in the leg around 9 00 on stanyan street. The man is expected to be okay but police say he is refusing to speak to them. San Francisco Police are looking for the driver that struck a bicyclist and then bolted from the scene. A witness snapped a photo of the cyclist head first on the hood of the car. This is at fulton and divisadero streets monday morning. According to the cyclist he was sideswiped by the driver and instead of stopping, the driver hit the gas. Thats when he says he jumped on the hood to avoid getting run over. Didnt imagine that when, you know, you go after somebody hits you to talk to them get their information, that they would try to run you over. Officers say its still unclear who is at fault. In august, a bill was introduced to put caltrans to get a third lane open by today. The extra lane is expected to relieve the afternoon commute across the span from marin. The bill may not be heard until january. The Oakland City Council has approved major amendments to its contract with Waste Management. The changes were made to lower compost rates for restaurant owners. Some said it was so high there was no incentive to separate the food waste. Redoing the contract the said made some concessions, among them Waste Management no longer required to set up an 800,000 Customer Service center. Many victims are frustrated in their attempts to get help. The one in my house that burned down. So far theres no official cause two people were killed and 475 homes destroyed. As we left, it became very somber. And kelly asked to us pray with her. And we all prayed together. She was very strong. And she was very, um, assured. The man who carried out the murder is serving a life sentence. He took an offer from prosecutors to testify against gissendaner. Lawyers for kim davis said she met privately with pope francis in washington, dc last week. Davis is the kentucky county clerk jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples. The vatican has not confirmed or denied the meeting. Davis legal team says the pope hugged her and told her to, quote, stay strong. The fact that he met with kim sends a message that he is someone who stands with those individuals who are standing on their religious convictions. On his flight back to the Vatican Pope Francis said he didnt know about davis case in detail but said he supports individuals who refuse to abide by laws their conscience objects. Also known as the 13th street exit, an accident involving a big rig and another car blocking access to the onramp there. So it is causing more of a lookyloo factor. As far as we know, no lanes of the freeway are shut down but you can see the backups now for 101 in that northbound direction. Again, traffic is backed up beyond alum rock approaching the accident that happened at 13th street. As we move on and check on the rest of the commute, remember, there is construction which has shut down highway 1. It is closed in both directions. This is in the pacifica area.
