The law is called the urban agriculture incentive zone. Property owners would see a significant cut in their property tax for installing an urban garden. He admits the idea means the city will collect a little less in property tax. But says less green in city coffers will mean more green space for the city. Law the state level and local level was set up very much in mind that the city needs to get a good deal. If the city is going to give a property tax break to someone in exchange it needs to see it happening. Reporter the city will monitor urban gardens closely. Less tax money coming in, is that a concern .
