Kpix5 chief meteorologist paul deanno has a look at our hidef doppler tonight. Paul . Heres how heavy the rain will be by tomorrow morning. The National Weather service issued a flood advisory for napa, sonoma and marin county for street and small stream flooding and it hasnt even started raining yet. Heavy rain is likely overflight tonight and the rain will continue through the morning. Where is that rainfall . Light to moderate rain at times for the north bay all day long, but there it is still north of ukiah, but heavy rainfall looks poised to move in overnight tonight and stick with us the better part of tomorrow. When does it finally get here . Scattered showers midnight tonight through the morning hours, not here yet. Then driving to work tomorrow from the north bay, very, very slow from vacaville back to marin up to sonoma and mendocino and napa county it will be pouring and that is just the beginning of one of the most wettest days weve seen in about nine months. Ever since el nino storms battered the bay area coastline earlier this year several homes in pacifica have sat on a crumbling cliff. The city of pacifica Just Announced theres no choice but to tear them down. The city blamed the building were on for neglecting the properties. It says the homes are at risk of falling to piece over the eroding cliff and are threatening public safety. Tonight the coastal apartments at 310 espalanade remain fenced off yellow tagged declared uninhabitable since january when el nino storms battered the Police Officer and called the cliffside to fall apart battered the bluff and caused the cliffside to fall apart. Breaking news out of hercules tonight, in the last hour we Learned Police are talking to a person interest of in a deadly hit and run. This happened at a condo complex on glenwood just after 5 00 tonight. A witness told police a man was dragged under a gray or silver car. It was driven by a woman. Bystanders stopped the driver long enough to get the man out from under the vehi then she took off. O danger usually this is a pretty quiet neighborhood and to have any kind of a vehicular homicide like this appears to be intentional. Police are not sure if the victim and the woman know each other, but they believe that there is no danger to the overall community. Uber defied the rules and put selfdriving cars on the road here in the bay area. Tonight the state is laying down the law and thats not all. Theres more trouble. Just as they were trying to explain that they didnt believe they needed a dmv permit to put a Driverless Car Program on the streets of San Francisco, one of their cars was caught on camera running a red light. We were on a busy surge street. Reporter Jessica Felix was driving a passenger in her cab south of market this morning and saw a volvo marked uber with the same contraption on top as a selfdriving car. What happened next was caught on her dashcam. All the cars stopped at the red light. Uber just kept going, very surprised to see a car continue on. Reporter you see the light change. The taxi stops. Then a couple seconds later the uber goes right through the red light. A pedestrian was well into the crosswalk. Its just neglectful. Reporter the red light run happened in the middle of a dramatic day for uber. Hours early the Company Announced it was beginning a Pilot Program to begin picking up passengers with Driverless Cars in San Francisco and they decided to do it without the green light from the dmv. We understand there is a debate over whether or not we need a testing permit to launch selfdriving cars in San Francisco. We dont believe we do. The dmv disagreed and late this afternoon shut the program down. As for the red light incident, uber says this car was not part of its driverless Pilot Program, that there was a driver and he has been disciplined and essentially that the incident makes ubers entire case about autonomous vehicles. This is why we believe so much in making the roads safer by building selfdriving ubers. Theyre using it to bolster their point that we shouldnt have human drivers. Exactly. They dont care. It was too early to put those cars on the road whether or not it was the driver or not. Somebody needs to be held accountable for this. Reporter so this is the big question tonight. Will uber break its pattern and actually follow this new order saying it cant put its program on the streets . Well, they havent responded. So its actually not clear. Reporting live joe vazquez, kpix5. Only on 5 we have learned oakland firefighters had been in the ghost ship warehouse before it burned. Despite reports to the contrary, the question tonight how could they not have noticed what was going on . One man tells us he was watching a band perform inside the warehouse two years ago when firefighters came in. He said they were friendly, checked things out. However, officials have said there are no records that the Fire Department was ever there. Cbs5 also confirmed with the promoter of the 2013 event that firefighters were indeed inside the building and they even spoke with derick ion almena, the man renting the warehouse. Im not exactly sure when, but sometime in the middle of the show i think pretty early on the firefighters showed up inside the building Walking Around at least downstairs. I believe they were upstairs, but i forget. Video also shows police poking around in the warehouse october this year. The mayor says the city is developing ways for City Employees to properly report dangerous living conditions. We reached out to the oakland Fire Department for comment but have not heard back. Tonight musicians are banding together to give back to the Arts Community in oakland. Kpix5s emily turner was there. Reporter there have been fundraisers for the victims of the ghost ship fire almost sense the fire itself, but tonight is the biggest one raising a significant sum that will go to the victims families and also to the community and potentially make changes there. [ music ] reporter 20 artists, four hours, one very significant cause. Its going to be somber in moments and i think thats important, but we dont want it to be a wake. We want it to be a little bit more celebratory. Reporter tonights benefit concert at fox theater in oakland sold out, 2,800 tickets. 100 of ticket sales and merchandise go to the Gray Area Foundation for the arts adding up to almost 300,000 for its fire relief fund. Reporter all but one of the artists on stage is local and a special Graphic Design was created by an oakland artist to give those here who mourn and celebrate a banner to rally under. Local artists hopped in line alongside folks who had only heard of the tragedy but still wanted to pay tribute. Once you add in tonights earning the Gray Area Foundation overall will have raised close to 1 million, money many hope will not only help, but also make change. The immediate concern is to make sure the victims and people affected are taken care of, but beyond that i think its important to try to solve the problem of there not being a place for artists to, one, live, but to also perform and show their art. Yahoo, the victim of what they call the largest hack in history, more than 1 billion accounts compromised, and tonight bloomberg is reporting this could actually pose a threat to national security. According to bloomberg, 150,000 government and military employees including the fbi and the cia are among the victims. Now the hack happened back in 2013, but its just coming to light now. The cyber criminals stole sensitive user information including names, dates of birth and encrypted passwords. If youre an intelligence agent, you dont want to sort through a billion names. That is a mountain lion, yeah, the real thing, standing over a deer right on a guys front porch. The next thing the big cat grabs that deer by the neck and drags it off into the night. Thats what mountain lions are supposed to do. This is one of the closest encounters weve seen. There have been several sightings recently.
