But tonight that they tell us something we havent heard. They insist that the truck was already on fire when they first spotted it. Yeah, i was in the outside lane. Reporter the impact was so strong that rattled a few nerves, especially when cries for help could be heard. I just saw the flames go up. Just knowing that they were right there. Reporter taking nearly 20 hours to remove the debris from the highway. They will now look at everything from the evidence at the crash site to what each driver was doing in the 72 hours before the crash. Reporter ken, in the moments following the fiery collision, we are now hearing stories about how they stampeded towards the emergency exit. In some cases busted out windows to get to safety as we also talked to the High School Teacher from here in the area who was one of the first to administer first aide. One of the kids told me he had to kick the window out of the bus and thats how they got their knee injuries from trying to jump out on the back of the bus. It is crushed on the front pretty much. So we all start jumping up to run away. The boy with the gash on his head. He was crying because the girl in the seat next to him, that she did not wake up and she didnt get off the bus. That he doesnt believe she got off the bus. Reporter the only adults on the bus are gone. Arthur is dead as is michael as they recently gone gauged in paris. She is listed as missing. Among the student victims, the twin sister actually was on the same trip, but she was on a different bus and arrived at humboldt safely. The rest of the survivors are headed home to southland. Some of them will be paralyzed and their families can reunite with them as they are very lucky because i saw that bus and i saw the first semi as they were completely engulfed.
