An Elementary Schoolteacher under arrest tonight, but not something she did in the classroom. Andria borba has more. Reporter the trouble began november 21 with a party involving several teachers from Matthew Turner elementary. It was a pot luck. After the party, several of the people there began feeling seriously ill. One of the party goers was rushed to the hospital with reactions. Another party goer was taken to the hospital because she continued to feel like she was under the influence. She was not sure exactly what it was. Reporter hospital blood tests confirmed the presence of thc, the active ingredient in marijuana. It was not just the party goers that at the marijuana laced food. One of the attendees took ohm the food and their 15year old ingested some of the food became ill. Reporter the person who brought the dish was identified as 47yearold teresa gilmete badger, an Elementary School teach. After the party, badger admitted to them she put pot in the dish. Three felony counts of poisoning dont fit the mother they know say the neighbors. What you are saying is totally out of character. Teresa is kind, a dedicated teacher. She is someone who keeps to herself. Reporter Benicia Police badger was still in jail when last we checked and had not made bond. Well the death of a patient is making a change at the San Francisco general hospital. Liz spaulding disappeared and her body was found in a stairwell two weeks later. Changes have been made and were checked out by federal officials this week. We have taken it very seriously and have made very significant changes to assure her family, our patients today, our patients in the future and the whole city we are safer now. Those changes primarily have been around security and safety. A review of the case found numerous mistakes from the start. Among them, miscommunication and inadequate searches. Palo alto police are hoping that a sketch will lead them to a suspect in a violent Home Invasion robbery. They say the men forced themselves into the home of an elderly camailed afternoon and robbed them. The couple said they were shaken up by the whole ordeal, but they were not injured they told police they were forced to lie on the ground with a gun pointed at their heads. The robbers took off with wallets, cash, and valuables. There may be no video record of the shooting that left a bart Police Officer dead. San Francisco Chronicle is reporting officers on the scene were not wearing their lapel cameras. Brian webb has the story.
