Just minutes ago the police removed a device from his home and started allowing neighbors back in their home. They are on the scene right now, joe . Reporter we just arrived on the scene. 5100 block of mcbride here in richmond. This is the home that the police spent the better part of the day checking over and. It is the case that they got a tip on the 17th. That would have been last thursday. The caller said the man who lives here threatened to harm the community. Now, the bomb squad here detonating it safely. A two block radius was evacuated and folks were allowed back in right now within the hour. Nobody was hurt in this situation. It is still unclear we are trying to figure out what exactly happened. He made a threat and is that what tipped the police off to his location and who he was. It got the attention to the police. He made a threat quote to harm the muslim community. The police will not elaborate on exactly the nature of that threat, how that threat exactly was made. Was it the internet, was it said out loud and a neighbor heard him some but when they got here they were surprised by the explosives.
