Investigators believe he was shot by someone connected to that operation. We with held joels name because we knew a killer was on the loose. Because we knew joel was not the person intended to be killed and we newerly on in the investigation had we released the details there was a chance somebody else who was the intended target that day may have been killed, as well. Reporter last night there was a 25,000 reward for information leading to the killers arrest. Today ramirez mother pleaded for help and shared her grief through an interpreter. It happened just before 7 00 this morning while crossing the street at clayton road and detroit avenue. Family members say 14 year old Christopher Gonzalez was on his way to school. Witnesses told Police Gonzalez was crossing against a signal. He was hit by a car while trying to run across the street. His friends remember him as someone everyone liked. I always hanged out with him went to the park together. We had a lot of fun together. Hes a really good boy. He was a smart kid, a good person. Police say the driver was not at fault and was following the 35 mile per hour speed limit. The 14yearold attended oak grove middle school. A crisis team will be on campus tomorrow. A large turnout tonight at a vigil organized by opponents of a controversial morality clause proposed for teachers and staff. Dozens of people gathered outside st. Marys in San Francisco hoping to put pressure on archbishop that wants teachers and School Employees to agree to accept script catholic doctrine even in their personal life like condemning homosexuality and abortion. Police say one person was stabbed and another punched in the face. Both are expected to recover. Officers arrested three suspects, one person got aa way. They tell us a verbal argument led up to the stabbing. Plus serving a search warrant in san pablo ended up having to pull guns and fire. It happened at the motel around 8 30 this morning. Police were serving the warrant as part of an investigation into a series of armed robberies and two other cities when officers enter the motel room one suspect pointed a gun and thats when two officers opened fire. Witnesses say they heard at least six shots. The first five were kind of they seemed like they were far away but the last one was very close. It hit a window i believe, because i heard glass shatter. It looked serious. I was afraid for myself i would get shot there. Police say no one was injured. Two people, a man and woman were taken into custody.
