Police have made an arrest in a Deadly School bus crash. Yeah, that driver is now facing multiple counts of vehicular homicide. Authorities say at least five children died when the bus overturned after slamming into a tree. 24yearold johnathy walker is being held on 20,000 bond. Hes due in co abcs Stephanie Ramos has more. Reporter its every parents worst nightmare. Hamilton county schools confirmed there were 35 students on board the bus. All those students attend woodmore elementary and are in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. Reporter just a mile away from the Chattanooga Elementary School a school bus packed with more than 30 kids ran off the road, crashed into trees ending up on its side in a tangled mess. Bloodied students lay on stretchers. Not all survived. Multiple children lost their lives. Reporter Officials Say at least five kids were killed. Right now investigators believe the bus was most likely no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The 24yearold bus driver was arrested and is now facing charges. Walker is being charged with five counts of vehicular homicide, Reckless Endangerment and reckless driving. Reporter it took rescue crews hours to get all of the kids off the bus. 23 of them were sent to local hospitals. Were just asking for prayers in our hearts and sympathy go out to the families.
