But were going to have signs look how beautiful on both sides. Cover both. You like yellow, you like black. Yellow, black. Beautiful. Donald trump phraraising sig of color in virginia. We wont get our natural air conditioning from a westerly wind. The heat builds into this weekend and also continues into next week. Temperaturewise in San Francisco, you wont see much of a difference. You may begin to see a lack of those morning clouds and a lot of sunshine. As far as what we will see inland anywhere from 88 degrees today and then up to 94 for the weekend. 96 degrees on wednesday. So that heat is not going anywhere. Heading over to mike, hes also tracking talking about the trivalley this morning. Some folks feel like theyre not going anywhere but they will have improved speeds. Looking at your bay and overall we have a smooth flow of traffic. Over in the trivalley weve had a couple of crashes. One leaving some debris in the roadway you guys just talked about. The one approaching and the one just past it. The approach towards the bay bridge moves well. Bay bridge toll plaza, improved for the speeds on the San Francisco side. As we look at the bay bridge toll plaza. Ive been tracking a crash just above the embarcadero, it has cleared over the last 15 minutes. We have a good recovery but the backup at the toll plaza, slower metering lights. Might not be so obvious. News branching out a little bit. Something to think about as youre about to hit the roads for your morning commute. Debris on the streets is a lot more dangerous than some may realize. Responsible for tens of thousands of crashes every year. Some of them deadly. Today in the bays kris sanchez is live in san jose with new numbers released just a few hours ago. Overnight, when a lot of us were sleeping, kris. Thats right, laura. Were taking this report on the road. We will say that alan has both hands on the wheel as were on 680 going northbound. This morning weve already seen road debris, a butcher. We saw a baby bathtub and a kids card table as well. And, you know, if you listen to mike inouye, once a day he talks about a ladder in the roadway. All of that debris can be dangerous especially when were talking about some of the biggers items that people see sometimes. We have video of a mattress falling off of a car or an suv, theres also video of a dresser coming off of a car. Lawn clippings, trash, and really unlucky people have found themselves behind unsecured portapotties. You can imagine the mess there. According to aaas most recent data, between 2011 and 2014 road debris caused 200,000 crashes. 3900 people were injured. And 500 people died in crashes related to debris. In more than a third of the crashes, the driver overcorrected or swerved, causing that crash. And according to aaa the majority of those crashes arent really preventable. What we found is that two thirds of all road debris is caused in some way by a vehicle. Whether thats not properly maintaining the vehicle, parts are actually flying off, or not properly securing their load. Reporter so secure your load, that means use sturdy straps and a tarp if there are small items that can blow out. Drive defensively. Give yourself plenty of space in front of you and beside you as alan is doing this morning to make sure you have someplace to go if you have trouble. And maintain your vehicle, if your tires blow out or the exhaust sometimes some of those affects after market affects that can come off of your car. By the way, even if you dont hurt yours or you dont hurt somebody else with debris coming off of your car, it can still cost you a lot of money because if the california Highway Patrol finds something coming off of your car you can get a pretty steep ticket. Again, thats if you dont hurt somebody else. Were going to put our eyes back on the roadway. You see theres a tire there. And were watching for more debris this morning. But if youre hitting the road and moving something, make sure you use sturdy straps. I know youre in the market for a new dresser, when sam goes to ikea to pick it up, make sure he straps it down. That is the last thing that you want because the drawers will be put in inside out. Why doesnt this work . I dont understand. Im hiring. Mike and i were talking about. Whats the strangest thing youve seen on the road . One time we saw a recliner and i said, we had a chopper overhead. Hey, theres the recliner. Id wonder if the ottoman is in the area. The morning clouds in the fog clearing out restreeting back to the coastline. And our winds picking up onshore. Not until this evening. And by then it will be too late as that onshore flow kicks in. Temperatures inland with would have already heated up. Well see the same thing again tomorrow with some 80s around 90s for most of our inland valleys. Well be up to 87 degrees today in gilroy. Palo alto, 82. And on the embarcadero, 66 degrees. 84 in santa rosa. Wide range in temperatures from oakland, 74 to 90 in walnut creek. Low 90s in the trivalley. We will still see that spread in temperatures as we go to the weekend, High Pressure continues to build. Creates less of a marine lay your meaning we dont have the clouds near the coastline. Not much of an onshore flow and that heat will build for the weekend. You wont notice much of the difference in San Francisco. Thats where we will have the most bearable temperatures and the coolest weather. It will be in the upper 60s. But then we go from the upper outitys today into the mid 90s by the weekend.
