Damian, police had to search down the person who did this and they found him. Reporter yeah, they did, sam. It happened just after 2 00 this morning here in san jose. Police cleared the scene just a short while ago but it was quite a scene here. The wreckage from the victims car here on hillsdale avenue. It happened right in front of the nissan dealership here on capital expressway as it turns into hills day. The victims car was mangled when Police Responded to the call that came in as a single car accident. There was an uber and lyft stickers on the car but its hard to say if the driver was fairying a fare or simply driving with family members in the car. They told police a car had hit them and took off. Officers were able to track that car down to a nearby carson elementary in san jose. The driver will be tested for drugs and alcohol to see if any illegal substance was involved in this collision. Police are still trying to determine the cause of the accident. So the vehicle left the scene and drove a mile, mile and a half to this location where officers located that person and hes got injuries and so he also was transported to the hospital. Reporter the sergeant on the scene also tells me the victims were taken to a nearby hospital after they complained of minor pain. He believes all of the victims in that car will be okay. Authorities say that in addition to raping a woman while he was on duty, winchester also sexually assaulted at least four other women including a 17yearold girl. San mateo county sheriff investigatoring say a man tried to kidnap a 12yearold girl in redwood city yesterday. The girl reported a bhit man between 30 and 40 years owed rode up to her on a bike at douglas and fair oaks avenue at noon. He asked if she was lost and then tried to grab her. Happening today, organizers ramping up the push to make city college of San Francisco free for everyone who lives or works in San Francisco. Community members will hold a rally to educate San Francisco voters of on the the Free City College November Ballot measure. A new tax on the citys most expensive homes would pay for that plan. Fighting not just a Political Campaign but also a legal battle. Donald trumps lawyers today will ask a san diego judge to toss out a lawsuit against Trump University. We go to the south bay and breaking news there where a driver is behind bars this morning after hes accused of colliding into a now crumpled car and fleeing the scene. Reporter it happened right here in front of the nissan dealership at the capitol expressway auto mall in south san jose. Police cleared the scene just a short while ago. Yes, there are two nonprofits, want to make sure when facebook expands its footprint here in the city of 33,000 people that it happens as responsibly as possible. Lets give you a look at the area were talking about. The proposed expansion at the west campus as it was formerly known, building 20. Looking above from our chopper you can see the cars on the freeway to put that size in perspective. Now, the aclu and the nonprofit Public Advocates posted a strongly worded letter to facebook, on facebook, and also on an open blog claiming the expansion could displace low income people. Facebooks expansion would add to that 60acre site, 126,000 square feet of office space and 200room hotel. Dushlly Facebook Says it is committing to spending 7. 8 million toward affordable housing, 3 million to mitigate the Traffic Congestion in the area, and they also want to build 1500 housing units, 22 of which would be subsidized to help teachers and firefighters and other workers live in community and 15 of those units would be offered below market race. The aclu and nonprofit advocates want to make sure menlo park doesnt worsen the crisis and the displacement services impactsing this city of menlo park and the bay area. Police tell us on wednesday a mother succumbed to injuries she suffer fred a house fire in may. The woman and 5yearold son were inside the home when the flames engulfed the house killing the boy.
