The legal team is calling the alleged actions a money grab. They claim she is mentally competent. 6 06, uc berkeley named in a Sexual Harassment suit against an assistant law professor. A former graduate student and two graduate students filed that suit. They name Blake Wentworth as well as the university and board of regents. The lawsuit asks for a change in policy to better protect students and faculty against harassment. Cal and the uc system have come under intense criticism by students claiming Sexual Harassment. It was a show of unity on the ucla campus where thousands of students, faculty and staff came together. They were there in vigil for professor klug who was killed by the gunman this story stretches from the bay area to West Los Angeles to the shooters home in st. Paul, minnesota, where a grisly discovery was made yesterday. They found a kill list with three names on it including the mans wife, whose body was found 20 miles away inside her home. On that list, a second ucla professor not on campus at the time of the shooting. That professor is okay. Investigators say sarkar accused professor klug stealing computer codes from him. A san ramon man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a lyft driver. The unidentified woman picked up 28yearold peter voss 10 pock wednesday night. Investigators are continuing to sift through evidence in fremonts irvington neighborhood days after two officers were shot. The gunman brought to community to a standstill. Bob redell was there when it all unfolded. This morning hes at Regional Medical center with another update for us. Good morning, bob. Fremont police tell us their officer who was critically injured, they believe he can survive his injuries but his first 24 to 48 hours are crucial. By that measure, he is still in this critical time period. While the other officer, a detective shot, is said to be recovering well here at san jose Regional Medical center. Law enforcement from all over the bay area streamed into the hospital to offer their support from both officers. Wednesday afternoon the Patrol Officer was in critical condition. There was a confrontation and shootout. Ten minutes later the suspect got into another shootout with a detective shot once and now in stable condition. Thank you to the medical staff who have helped to care for our wounded officers. We are very grateful to them for their kindness. The suspect livesc here in n jose in the willow glen neighborhood. Until recently, he was on mandatory supervised probation and served time in prison for drugs and weapons convictions. He died yesterday during a standoff with police. The house he was holed up in caught fire after s. W. A. T. Fired tear gas canisters in an attempt to flush him out. His body was found inside a closet. The coroner has yet to figure out if he died from the fire or injury he sustained during a shootout with police. The tenants were not home when he shot his way into that house wednesday. A former stanford swimmer heading to jail six months after being convicted of rape. Brock turner could have gotten up to 14 years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman who passed out outside a fraternity house. Friends and family of the victim left the courthouse dismayed and disappointed. Turner will have to take part in a Sex Offender Treatment Program and register as sex offender. Within the last hour we heard from the Major General to give us the latest about what we know. He offered his condolences to the five soldiers killed in this training accident that happened yesterday. He said the three soldiers who happened to be pulled alive from the flooded creek water should be released from the hospital later today. Those four still missing, the search continues. It is a massive search effort on this massive military installation. They are searching from the air, waters and shores. It began in earnest just before daybreak. Soldiers were taking part in routine training. They were in a large truck. There were 12 soldiers onboard. This is supposed to be able to cross all sorts of for rain including high water safely. Apparently the current was too strong. It has rained for several days. That obviously led to this situation here. We are told officials on post were in the process of shutting down the low water crossings when this accident happened. The three soldiers pulled alive from the water were rescued by other soldiers in a truck behind them in a convoy. Five soldiers here are dead. As for those four who remain missing, they are out there somewhere. Hope still continues, at least from the eyes of the Major General who was here, but it will be a long day. A fisherman is home safe after he went missing 20 hours off the florida coast. He was fishing about 18 miles offshore from the river about 75 miles north of tampa when he fell overboard. He said he was tired and cold but luckily wasnt hurt. A blue angels pilot was killed in this fiery class. The hornet went down after the squad was practicing for an air show this weekend. When the president heard what happened, he stopped to thank the pilot for his service and thank First Responders who rushed to that scene.
