His death comes just days after he released his 25th studio album. His first hit rose to the top of the english charts back in 1969. A long stream of top ten songs and albums followed. Bowie moroffed from persona to persona and completely leaving them behind as he experimented with musical styles. Bowie talked about his refusal to play his old hits in an interview back in 2003. Its a struggle to understand how i am no longer 20. I dont know, i dont know anybody else this has ever happened to. Most people they get to 20 and they stay 20. It didnt happen for me, though. Now, that passenger held up his backpack as a shield and one man told everyone to get down. He said some people ran, some tried to help the man who had been shot. There were nurses in the crowd. The 22yearold was found dead when they arrived. He had been shot multiple times. Police have not released his name and theyre not saying anything about a possible suspect. At 5 05. One of the Fastest Growing airports in the bay area has now increased the number of fire officials following an nbc bay area investigation into Staffing Levels last spring. At the time our team found only four firefighters work any given shift. That is now increased by 50 . But the question is, is that enough . Our Senior Investigative reporter Stephen Stock joins us with a follow up investigation. Well, good morning, guys. Critics say it is not enough. Just months after our first story aired last year, San Jose City Council Approved more money for the airport to upgrade its firefighting capability. They added two more firefighters per shift and another aircraft firefighting truck. Airport Officials Say they were forced to do under faa requirements because so many larger airplanes are now using sjc and that the faa now considers the airport an index d airport. Because of that, more firefighters and more trucks must be on duty at all times. Even so, aviation firefighting experts who teach this specialty around the world tell me that they worry that the increase staffing is still not enough to ensure safety in the rare event of a crash out at sjc. We also obtained emails from Delta Airlines, expressing similar concerns over the staffing. Delta even paid san joses airport to provide extra firefighters to be on duty before the airline would land here with a chartered 747 airplane. San jose airport officials insist that the firefighting capability is adequate and that the air field is safe. Police looking through survillance video and the video captured by another passenger really does show a scene of chaos but also of heroism in thes after that shooting. Take a look at the video. It was captured just moments after the shooting by a b. A. R. T. Rider by the name of brad. He said he looked up from a video he was watching on his phone to find all of this around him. Just moments after a man shot a man on a b. A. R. T. Train just before 8 00 in the evening on saturday. Someone next to me was sort of diving over me. Because i was in the aisle seat. And i didnt really hear the shots, i dont think, i dont really know. It was just so quick. I sort of got down and was like, what the heck is going on . Police searched for the shooter for hours and came up empty and now searching through Surveillance Video and witness accounts trying to track down that killer. Now, the coroner could release the victims identity later today and we will continue to press the b. A. R. T. Police for more details on that suspect to see if, perhaps the public could be of any assistance. Happening later today, police are expected in court on a Christmas Morning murder in san jose. Three suspects are in custody right now charged withing a man to death. All three suspected gang members. All are due in court later this afternoon. Investigators think the three believe that the victim, Jose Luis Marin was the member of a rival gang because he was wearing red shirts when he left his house that morning. The search is on in the peninsula continues this morning for a woman police say tried to run down a police officer. Police are looking for denise dave us. Detectives said she purposely hit the officer with her car in daly city. This isnt the first time shes done this. Davis was already wanted for striking another person with a car. If you sees or know her whereabouts Daly City Police would like to hear from you. The search will pick back up this morning for a missing uc graduate student. Crews found several items belonging on a cliff near the point reyes lighthouse. The mercedesbenz was found there over the weekend. The 22yearold was reported missing on saturday. She was reportedly depressed and possibly suicidasuicidal. She was last seen around 1 30 wednesday morning. Police in santa cruz had a warning this morning. Beware of a kidnapping scam. Police say three families were almost scammed over the weekend. The victims say a person called and claimed family members had been kidnapped. They would be returned safely only after a cash payment. Officers say the calls were proven to be a hoax when those family members were found to be safe. Investigators say the calls came from locked or restricted numbers and they advise that anyone who receives a similar call should Contact Police immediately. Happening today, how to spot someone who is being smuggled for sex trafficking. Airport workers are getting trained on that specific topic at sfo. One that Law Enforcement agencies are just starting to get a handle on and what theyre finding is that San Francisco is a tough hub for Human Trafficking in california. So groups cited the problem will gather here today at the San Francisco international airport. They will be training airport screeners and other security personnel. The idea is to look for specific signs. Authorities say the vast majority of these people are young women, appear to be from other countries but there are also young people brought to the area to work from other places in the united states. One study found 100 during a sixmonth period in 2014. The big question now, how are these people getting through and what techniques are they using to hide them in plain sight. Found only four firefighters working at any given shift at san jose maneta international airport. Senior Investigative Reporter Stephen Stock joining us now with a follow up to this investigation. Critics say it is not enough just months after our first story aired last year, San Jose City Council Approved more money for the airport to upgrade its firefighting capability. They added two more firefighters per shift, plus another aircraft firefighting. They were forced to do that under faa requirements because so many larger airplanes are now using sjc and now considers the airport an index d airport. Because of that, more firefighters and more trucks must be on duty at all times. Even so, aviation firefighting experts who teach this specialty around the world tell me that they worry the increased staffing is still not enough to ensure safety in the rare event of a crash out at sjc. We also obtained emails from Delta Airlines expressing similar concerns over the staffing. Delta even paid san joses airport to provide extra firefighters to be on duty before the airline would land here with a chartered ere747 a. The firefighting capability is adequate and that the air field is safe. The faa tells us it is satisfied that sjc meets minimum standard it has set for all airports this size.
