This morning Tropical Storm cindys loosely defined eye making its way onshore with a massive wet punch. With 12 inches of rain in some spots, flooding coastal towns and spawning waterspout after waterspout in floridas panhandle. That is a waterspout. Fort walton beach, winds of 50 miles an hour taking down trees and leaving a baseball field in ruins. In alabama, cindy has already claimed one young life. A large log churning in the surf lodged in a 10yearold boy walking with his family on the beach. It rolled the timber on top of the child. Despite warnings some vacationers ventured into the surf. He was truly one of the nicest, most compassionate people ive known. As a vigil this week at the university of virginia, warmbiers girlfriend recalled his impact. Ottos Fraternity Brothers, otto was someone always looking out for other people. One of the Fraternity Brothers said, Everyone Needs a friend like otto. Warmbier died monday just days after he was carried off a plane in a coma after 17 months of imprisonment in north korea for allegedly stealing a poster. Now the Insurance Institute say the three states that started with legalizing pot have already seen a higher risk of people getting in accidents from drivers who are high on weed than even people in neighboring states. More and more drivers today are taking the high road, and the results already are deadly. Those killed on colorado roads by a driver high on marijuana are up for a Third Straight year. So you smoked 30 minutes ago and youre saying im not going to find any weed in this car. Sergeant madden is with the Colorado State patrol, which now makes almost a fifth of dui arrests for pot. Although marijuana is legal to possess and to use in the state of colorado, it is not legal to use marijuana to the point where you are intoxicated and drive a motor vehicle. A new study just out this morning from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety finds colorado has had 21 more crashes than its neighbor, utah, since colorado sparked the trend. A total of 38 states now allow medical marijuana in some form, 8 in washington, d. C. , permit recreational pot including oregon and Washington State where the study also found crashes are up. We see a 3 increase in the risk of insurance claims in the states that legalized marijuana. We cant explain it by any other means. Reporter the Marijuana Policy project, which pushes to legalize pot acknowledges that states that made marijuana legal saw some increases in collision claims but adds there is no evidence that marijuana contributed to the accidents. Back in colorado, more than half of marijuana users in a state survey said they think its safe to hit the roads after smoking pot. So the states rolling out ads like this. In the drugstore, looking around, trying to figure what to pick. Everything says spf, x, y, z, what should you look for. Greater than 30, broad spectrum, uva, uvb, coverage for wrinkles as well as skin cancer. You want to say water resistant. 40 to 80 is the most you can buy for that. Theres no such thing as a waterproof sunscreen anymore. Sometimes we have the right product but we still do things in the wrong way. What are some mistakes we make when were putting this stuff on. The biggest mistake is people forget to put on sunscreen. You need to apply it at least 2 ounces, which is a shot glass of sunscreen to cover your whole body. You want to apply 15 minutes before you go outside. You cannot do it one minute before you jump in the pool or youre already outside. You want to rub it in. If you dont rub it in, sunscreen is missing products. Were going to go down. Are these spray on . Spaces are really great because they are super convenient. The problem with spaces, when you spray them, you see it goes all over the place. Yeah. Then sometimes you miss areas. So you want to spray it but also want to rub it in. My sort of personal favorite is to take a spray thats more of a lotion and spray it on and then rub it in so you can see where its been. I like it. Combination of these Spaces Together are great. People love them and they are super fun. This is a cool one ive not seen yet. Were going to show you, reveal, this is a new one. It is mousse. Suntan mousse lotion. Yeah, suntan mousses are really fun. You put them on. You rub them together, spread them on. They are not greasy. They disappear really easily. So you have a lot on there. We can take this and rub them what im loving about all these products, they are products you can use on any part of your body. Okay. We have primers. You put it under your makeup. Apply a tinted moisturizer that has sunscreen on it so you dont need to apply makeup. Then fabulous new makeup setting sprays. You can spray these directly onto your face and apply your spf right over your makeup. They dont ruin it. On top of your makeup. Correct. The better part, these are fantastic, for a person starting to lose a little hair and dont want to ruin their hair, you can spray it directly into your hair. Feels like a hairspray but has a great spf in it. Loving that. Lips are something thats very vulnerable. Theres no melanin, they dont protect. Theres a high risk for skin cancer. You cant just apply lipstick. You have to wear ones with spf. Which ones . They have spf, great colors, they have spf. Then there are also lip glosses that they make. Color science makes a fabulous one and has spf. If you put a lip gloss on your lips without spf its like applying baby oil and you can burn. Like they did in the old days. Not great. So you have some easy stuff. People complain sunscreen is hard to get rid of. If you feel a little greasy and want to get rid of it, use makeup removing oils. You rub them on and it dissolves. Use these cleansing facial wipes. Easy to carry in your purse. It can make a huge difference. All you have to do is wear the right clothes. This clothing is actually specially designed to block out the sun. Made by lands end, other products, you dont have to wear sunscreen. The sun cannot penetrate. All we did, we literally took pots from the garden, pulled them on the table. Farmers market is bustling with fantastic produce. Throw that in the middle. Its all edible, incredible. A little fancy there. Do you mind when people do plastic plates and knives and forks out there . Absolutely. I want this to be easy. Rarely do you have eight of anything. Always something is broken or missing. Mix and match makes it more fun. What are we making here. Avocado, a and heirloom tomato, this is fantastic. Go ahead. Five second rule. Exactly. So well just pull that out. If youve got a rolling ball, charlotte kni sharp night, youve got to give it a flat side. I want it shunningy, but you do want it on there. Different kinds of potatoes, i mean tomatoes. Then we have lime juice. Also olive oil and all of these wonderful things. Name them as they do in. Avocados, green onions, cilantro, peppers. We did not add the seeds for that. Its not that hot. Can do it if youre bad. You want to add them, add them. Its a little more spicy. Look at the colors. Thats great. Make it in the morning. Let it marinate through the day. Weve got enough lime juice, they arent going to turn brown. Going to serve it with great chips. With blue corn chips, doesnt that make it really fancy. I want to dive into that. Really fancy. The next part of the dish, something i love. Pork shoulder, talk about the ingredients. Weve got an cho chiles, seasonings, my favorite dark beer. When you see these hanging in the store. When i first start cooking, i thought, how do you turn that into anything. Its very simple. Youre going to put hot water on it. What i like to do, they are doing to want to float because they are so light. Take a plate, put it on top, press it down and thats going to keep it submerged until its soft like this. Im going to reserve the liquid because its got a ton of flavor. We might need it when were making that paste. This is where were going. Sugar, turn the blender on and blend it. Thats where we want to be. Thats the end. Here is our gorgeous shoulder. The thing about this, people ask me all the time, do i season all sides of it, season the bottom. My point is im not trying to be rude, but, yes, honey, if youre going to eat all sides, were going to season all sides. Paste, since were on tv and dont want to get too dirty. How far in advance are we doing this before we cook it. This is the great news. Can you do this two days in advance. Honestly, its better. Sits in the refrigerator and all worked in. At home i would throw that thing in the sink, get my hands all on it. This is where we are with it. Okay. Thats what it should look like. Were already sweating some onions and then we want to add.
