Its tiny from 25,000 feet. You cant really make out the net. You can see the ground. You know where you need to go. As you get closer and lower you make out landmarks better and youre able to see it and you have to maneuver your body. I was off by about 20 feet on that one. You stuck the landing but as we watch it again, you gave me a bit of a heart attack. You were a little close to the edge there. Did you feel that way . I did. Once i knew i was inside the net i was more concerned about that flip to my back and hitting in a nice strong position so instead of taking an extra second to move to the middle i was safe on the edge where i was so we locked it in and rode it into the bottom. You did that turn to land on your back. Thats the right way to land but why . I would think just get there. It bends you. If youre on the back it curves you in the right direction. If you are on your belly, it curves you in a different direction. You have to go blind. When i was in i was concentrating on that nice transition to hit in a nice solid position because i knew i was in. I didnt want to take the extra time to line up better. Im sure you had total focus of course. Any moment walking to the steps before you jumped off or at some point during that long two minutes where you were like why am i doing this or felt afraid or had doubts . That in the first interview since shaving her head after more than a year long battle with breast cancer, after Shannon Doherty says the disease has now spread. He is known for his show on our Sister Network with stellar henry. He wows people with psychic ability. He has a book coming out called between two worlds. We had tyler on the show before to do readings. He always insists on not knowing who the subject will be. Im definitely getting more so a reference to progressive decline in health. He showed me the symbol of a phone being held to ones ear in theyre in an unconscious state and being told its okay. Its able to pass. They show that symbol. That acknowledges they were ultimately told by family, its okay. Like you dont have to hold on. And there is a feeling of appreciation with where he was when he actually died. There a feeling of appreciation of like i refuse to die surrounded by doctors, dying in a hospital wither ago way. Whether he knew it or not, tyler was talking about my father who pass add way in 1997 at his request he spent the last few weeks of his life at home under hospice care. He is thankful for the steps that were taken for him not to pass away in the tradition alpha silt. Thats really important for him. That comes across. So there is a lot to take in. I dont know what makes sense. Well, it does make sense. G. A lot of it. Good. Strange. Youre showing me reference of a coin. I dont know if youre aware of this. But he is acknowledging that you were on a boat and feel like hes sit ago lone and fishing. And im thinking that and hes having made knowledge like im there with you. Im there with you. You know, my dad shared two passions with me. He shared golf and fishing. And i do go out and fish a lot alone on a boat. And this idea that that might be a time to communicate with him or that he is attempting to communicate is phenomenal to mechlt because i spend a lot of time doing that. Your father is so immensely proud of you. You didnt have to get where you are today for him to be proud of you. And you didnt have to get where you are today to be successful in his eyes. Because he is proud of you regardless. I hope that gives insight. You know this is nothing a son or daughter could want to hear more about their parent. Is it possible to ask and see if he has any things he wants to know from me . Sure. Sure. I want to make sure youre happy. Beyond everything else, beyond everything you have. Just that youre happy. Tell him im happy. Good. Because of him. You know what . He knows. I have to say, it was just a fraction of our conversation, the conversation i had with tyler. Lasted for more than an hour. And there were times, guys, where i had hands were shaking. And i felt like i was per spirg because the things he was saying were so spot on. I was incredible. I dont know how you didnt cry. No. You know, i think you know me as well as anyone, savannah and al and guys, i think its because i knew there were cameras around there that im maybe not the person thats going to let that go at that moment. Sarah jessica parker, she really didnt want to do sex and the city. She really didnt want to do it. Her agent who shes been with for a long time basically forced her to do it. She talks a lot about that process. Matthew broderick, her husband, didnt want to do ferris bueller. And cher didnt want to do moon struck and was tricked into taking it. What does the book tell us about that . Her agent is ron myer, legendary hollywood person. Hes really an amazing guy. She didnt want to go to the meeting. He tricked her into this meeting where she left and by the time she left she already committed to the movie. He tricked me. No way i wanted to do the movie. Won an academy award. You get a sense of what agents do and we talked to dustin hoffman, the movie rainman so iconic and him playing the man that has autism. It was the agent that had the idea as i understand it. Rainman was an incredible story. One of the agents was so adamant about tom cruise and his career that they just pushed tom into this movie and lets face it. Tom and dustin dont exactly look like brothers. They may be far apart in years. It worked. Tom cruise i was fascinated to learn that in Risky Business the underwear scene was not in script. Not theirs. Sitting and knowing youll break through the other side. You want them to get frustrated. I want to get to this end of Summer School anxiety that crops up for a lot of kids. You have a theory about empathizing with them. Explain what you mean. Empathy is a big emotion. Im scared and most parents say youll be fine. They reassure. School is not scary. You deny a kids feelings versus meeting them where they are. Gosh, i get it. I remember when i was scared the first day of school. That emotion coach basically. Thats the key to parenting. Nobody wakes up and says today im an emotion coach. We want to install an emotional thermostat so that your kids can modulate their feelings. Northbound highway 99 is shut down right now because of we continue to follow breaking news out of the Central Valley this morning where a northbound highway 99 has seen a shutdown because of this, a tour bus. And your eyes are not deceiving you, a horrific sight, a pole jutting out from the center of the bus. This happened at about 3 30 this morning as a result of that crash, five people have died. Another six people are seriously injured as you see investigators out there on the scene now, trying to make sense of what happened. Now the charred bus was making its way from mexico to washington. At a stop in los angeles and was on its way to sacramento, that was that leg. Investigators are trying to figure out why it veered off the road and into the pole. More to come on that in the morning. An update on the fire in Monterey County that grew by 3,000 acres overnight. Firefighters, 5,000 of them from across the state, working on that, saying it is burning away from home. When i look at that video and youre starting out at 25,000 feet, i mean, its like trying to find a postage stamp in a football field. How do you maneuver . You cant really make out the net. You can see the ground and you know where you need to go. As you get closer and lower you make out landmarks better and you can see it and you have to maneuver your body. I was off by 20 feet on that one. You were close to the edge there. Did you feel that way . I did. Once i knew i was inside the net i was more concerned about that flip to my back hitting in a strong position. Instead of taking a second to move to the middle i knew i was safe on the edge where i was so we locked it in. His friend gave him this idea. Whats the most extreme thing we could do. The chp reports the bus driver in this crash northwest of merced survived but is seriously injured.
