A homeowner angered at kids crossing his property. When the homeowner is a Police Officer caught on camera firing his gun with an unarmed 13yearold, it tends to get lot of attentions. Last night sending hundreds in the streets of anaheim, california in an angry and violent protest. Tonight a Police Officer is sidelined, a young teen is shaken and a restless community is demanding an explanation. Miguel almaguer has details. Let go of me. Im not letting go. Let go. Reporter caught on camera. Struggle between an off duty lapd officer and a 13yearold boy. Let go of me for the last time. Reporter though we dont know what happened prior to the recording, the dispute over teens walking across his lawn escalate when the officer is knocked down. He pulls a gun and fires a single shot. The officer has now been placed on leave and his actions are under investigation. The facts and circumstances are known of the officer he or she makes that critical decision to use force and in this instance to use deadly force. Reporter nobody was injured. Two teenagers were arrested and released including the 13yearold who we are not identifying by name. I thought i was going to die right there. Reporter plils police say the officer had ongoing issues with teenagers on the property. They just dont care about people and property. Reporter the teens mom says her son was arrested for threatening to shoot the officer. Why you lie. I said im going to sue you. I was saying im going to sue you. Reporter there were protests overnight. Property damage and 13 arrests. I personally wish the off life tduty officer would have a waited our arrival before taking action, but he decided to confront the juveniles. Reporter investigators are trying the piece together what happened here. Whether they call the use of deadly force was justified. The officers home and cars in his driveway were vandalized overnight. Hes not been identified or spoken publicly. Detectives believe he fired the shot into the ground and was not aiming at any of the teens. That remains, though, a big part of the investigation. Backed iraqi forces recaptured most of the airport in mosul, the countrys second largest city. Its a crucial turning point in an operation thats been going on for months now. More from our chief correspondent. Reporter iraqi forces are breaking through isis line of defense in iraq. After nearly four and a half months iraqi troops backed by American Military advisors calling in air strikes finally took over the airport in the city of mosul. Isis biggest stronghold in iraq. But the offensive is not over. A top u. S. Official said it could take another two or three days to secure the airport. Western mosul remains an isis safe haven. Iraq already controls the eastern half of the city. They plan to use the airport in southwest mosul to fight against the thousands of isis fighters believed tore holed up in the city. A senior military official said the bulk of isis fighters could be driven out of mosul within two months. The airport was once a use u. S. Base. In 2004, suicide bombers killed more than 20 american soldiers in the chow hall at lunchtime.
