They arrested him for Sexual Battery involving a minor. Alleged by the minor that patrick touched him in an appropriate way during a mentoring session. He was a longtime mentor for the nonprofit unity care which provides services for atrisk and foster kids. The organization fired him after learning about his rae. Unity care says this is the first time one of its employees or volunteers have been arrested for alleged misconduct involving a youth. Happening in palo alto, the bomb squad has been called in. Reports of a hand grenade near notable Silicon Valley companies. Some workers discovered this device while cleaning out a drainage pipe. While he was in jail, he was also accused of beating up an inmate. Anthony allegedly stabbed to death his exgirlfriend, colleen straw, saturday at her home in san mateo. We dont know what the motive is. We do know that the relationship was estranged. We have a witness that heard an argue beforehand, but as far as the motive, we dont know that yet. What we know is Police Responded to a Domestic Violence call at this home before. Court Records Show Police arrested the man september twishth for felony assault and Domestic Violence after he allegedly hit 34yearold colleen in the face, threatened her, and tried to smother her with a pillow. He pled no contest to Domestic Violence. The other charge was dropped, and anthony was ordered to spend 60 day s in jail and stay away from colleen. They say while he was in jail, anthony allegedly beat up an inmate. He got out of jail, was arrested on a Battery Charge involving the inmate, and posted 10,000 bail. He was supposed to return to court on that charge today. Now, hes on the run as a murder suspect. Considered armed and dangerous, which is why the San Carlos Urgent Care Center was shut down saturday and a s. W. A. T. Team was calling in when someone spotted anthonys vehicle nearby. They didnt find him. We basically are open to anybodys phone calls on where we might find him. We have tried a couple different leads we got, one in the east bay that didnt pan out. Officials want to put the scandals behind them and they say they believe some of the allegations about fiefr training are misleading. Cal fire is wrapping up one of its busiest fire seasons ever and it wants to dispel any doubt that some firefighters were not properly trained. A state investigation in t ha that some Academy Cadets said instructors helped students, including manipulating tests in order to graduate as many cadets as possible. Although cal fire has not addressed all the issues raised, it pointed out it fired or demoted 15 employees since the beginning of the year, including the supervising instructor. We reduced the number of people who have limited access to the security and testing materials. Local officials declined to comment on the academys scandal directly but point out many of the socalled cadets actually are experienced seasonal or fulltime firefighters who work every year for cal fire units. They say the cadets are usually trying to move up into higher classified jobs such as engineers. They say all units actually have a battalion that specializes in training firefighters before they even reach the academy. All kinds of continuing education. Lopez and his family, including their two dogs ended up stuck at sea yesterday afternoon. First thought is, is the boat going to sink . But it didnt. But i called the coast guard. They came immediately. The coast guard rescued the family, but rescuing the 51foot yacht was a little more involved. We hired a crane. A barge came and set the crane and lifted the boat off the wall. After lifting it off the wall, lopez was able to navigate his 50,000 pound vessel back to shore. Gotchas got some significant damage. In fact, the boat took on a good amount of water. But survived.
