That report came in of three mountain lions roaming the area last night, very scary for neighbors. Its not uncommon to see lions in the area. This is Youtube Video of one last year in woodside. What is not uncommon, to see three walking together, the sighting sparked a warning from the san mateo sheriff warning residents not to approach them, and, of course, keep small children and animals out of harms way. A researcher i spoke to today says three together are not common, but could be a mother and two olderlooking cubs. Still, neighbors are on high alert. The warning from deputies at this hour is, if you see these lions, to as we come back out here live, to not approach them again, make yourself very big and make yourself very loud. And if they do not run off, throw rocks at them. In fact, thats actually suggested by deputies to get them out of the way, because there is a concern that they could attack. Danville police say he was arrested this morning at his home in unincorporated danville. Hes being held on 1 million bail. We dont have specific details about the arrest. Those havent been released to us yet, but so far investigators have not found any local victims. A familys heart break has turned into a fight against the city of San Francisco. You might remember this story. Back in march, police shot and killed a man at a San Francisco park. Today, supporters are demanding justice and they rallied to make their point. Heres nbc bay areas Christie Smith. Reporter in San Franciscos park, supporters of the 28 year old rallied and marched. He was shot and killed her by police. Had a taser on his hip, which was part of his uniform. Apparently, some jogger saw the weapon, thought it was a gun, and contacted sfpd. Reporter they say he was on his way to work as a security guard. Thats why he carried the taser, that he stopped to eat as he sometimes did, and they dont believe he was acting in an erratic manner. He then supposedly drew his taser at them, pointed it at them, and they shot him. Now, a lot of that doesnt make any sense. Reporter shortly after the shooting, police said officers believed he had a firearm and fired in defense of their lives, that there were reports of an armed man pacing and he was told to show his hands. Outside of federal court, the family attorney said they filed a civil rights lawsuit alleging excessive force. That was Christie Smith reporting. We have now the latest in missouri. How are you feeling today . Better. Reporter it was one last checkup for jennifer at Regional Medical center in san jose before going home. The 32yearold morganhill woman is recovering from death. Doctors say she has a heart condition with longer than average pauses between beats. In the Early Morning of august 12th, her heart suddenly stopped. I went to bed that night just normal, and i woke up in the hospital three, four days later. So, she died, she was resuscitated by her husband and the paramedics responded immediately within two minutes. She was successfully defiblated, brought back to life. Reporter jennifer says during the time she was technically dead, she saw her late father, a vision that drew comfort then and tears today. Probably the most positive thing i remember was sorry. Seeing my dad and him saying, its okay, peanut, youre going to be okay. Reporter jennifers husband and their 5yearold son evan came to take her home, gratefully. The thought of being a single father without her, seeing the things that she would miss out on, seeing some of the things her father missed out on, would break my heart. Never, ever in my wildest dreams thought Something Like this would happen to me, so going through this and still being here, i definitely will cherish each day and each moment. Update you now on the breaking news weve been following the past 90 minutes, the fire in santa clara at a well known nonprofit called Hope Services. Hope services is well known in the special needs community. They help special needs kids and adults. This started just after 4 00 at the staging area, where workers collect donations from the community. Firefighters say they have this fire under control, so thats the good news. Flames sparked inside of a donation bin. This was right off 101 near Great America parkway, not far from levi stadium. A spokeswoman for Hope Services says no one was there at the time of this fire. Nearly everyone had clocked out for the day. Three trucks were destroyed. It has been a busy summer for car thieves in one east bay city and its a trend police are working hard to end. They saw a big spike in car thefts in the month of july. About four cars a day being swiped from neighborhoods all over town. While the thefts have slowed down a bit this month, police say the numbers are still unacceptable. People who have been victimized say losing a car is pretty devastating. Its just really sad to see people stooping that low, someones means of transportation, you know, part of their livelihood to get to work every day and back, pick up kids from school. San Leandro Police say the number of auto thefts have more than doubled over the past five years, but they are working hard to try to put the brakes on it. Rising from the ashes, bay area foodies impatient for a restaurant to reopen can get a preview tasting next month. The restaurant is rebuilding after a fire back in july. Manresa is a premier dining spot. Fans can support the restaurants rebirth at a fundraising dinner next month at love apple farms. The Santa Cruz Farm partners with the restaurant and in september is hosting a heritage tomato dinner. Tickets are pretty pricey, 425 per person, but guests will also get a farm tour, along with their sixcourse meal.
