is it justified to use physical force in a relationship. teens answered when a partner refuses sex, dresses inappropriately, makes their own decisions or disrespects the partner. teens didn't say it was okay. domestic violence advocates say one teen ties many. especially when san jose police say teens are less likely to report domestic abuse. >> we don't want young people to fool they can't report. we don't want our seniors, to have any fear of reporting. different reasons they don't report. >> reporter: domestic violence statistics for 2011. overall cases dipped. there were 11 people who died at the hands of people they had a relationship with. six were shot. while the da's office pushes to get guns out of the hands of abusers this teen will keep preaching healthy relationships to his peers. >> what we are frying to d tryi break the cycle. teach communication skills. >> reporter: when a person is included in a protective order or, restraining order, it is illegal for them to government to task over a gas pipeline safety standards. a lawsuit filed today by city attorney, dennis herrera alleges u.s. pipeline and hazardous materials safety administration failed to oversee a pipeline safety program for a decade. the filing cites three gas pipeline explosions in california since 2008 including deadly san bruno explosion that killed eight in 2010. san francisco wants the federal agency to better oversee the cpuc. 2,000 san francisco residents spent the morning with no electricity after a metallic balloon floated into power lines. the outage in the city south of market and mission districts before 9:00 a.m. utility officials say mettle talic balloons that come in contact with power lines can short circuits. the problem is a ledgedly more common on valentine's day one woman food bank. every thursday you can find her collecting donations outside robert's market in woodside. then, early friday morning, into a rented xh eed commercial kitc put together groceries, prepared foods and lots and lots of bag lunches. then off to redwood city, hoofer family center where a food pantry is set up for families needing help, putting a healthy meal on the table. tackling hunger in her backyard was not a quest sunny dreamed of starting. it grew from a sung single weekg of groceries she gave me a housekeeper the she would tell me about a neighbor having a hard time. lost his job or the father had gotten arrested and the mom was home with no food the i start proed vi providing food. >> six months later. angel food provides 100 people. one meal a week. some times more. >> i just found the need. i think there is a segment of the population that doesn't get severed by food banks. i wanted to get to people, kind of the underlayer of -- people that wouldn't normally ask for help. >> people it turns out like her. you see, jen's world wasn't always a comfortable one. in a pleasant woodside neighborhood. there was once jen, the teenager, living on san francisco's streets. >> i remember being a kid. and being -- hungry, and i remember the kindness of -- strangers. i remember riding the streetcar all night. having a streetcar driver buy me a cup of coffee. >> somehow, so many years later, jen is that streetcar driver. now, driving a truck. serving food. preserving dignity. jen's story was sthard wihared member of the viewing audience. you can
