Thankfully, those people were able to get out safely. While up in mill valley, some wouldnt let the cones blocking the flooded 101 offramp getting in the way to getting to work. Every time it rains, it floods up. Nobody can get by. They close the entrance coming this way and nobody can come in from 101. Workers have removed sprinkler heads from the grass field and in the process of placing white plastic flooring tiles on top of the grasp the Soccer League argues it violates a prior agreement that calls for light use. Thats one reason the Soccer League is suing the city and the nfl. The Soccer League questions whether the nfl will be able to restore the fields to the worldclass standards as promised, and is upset the city has not been able to find temporary replacement fields that meet regulations. We want to be clear that the Soccer League supports the super bowl. We think theres better alternatives that never got discussed, right . I mean, why cant you put the media center on the parking lot . And not drill holes in the field . Why cant you put the media center in the levis Stadium Parking lot . Why cant you put the media center on the 49ers field that has not been used. To the extent there is soccer activity going on for the league, we certainly, the city have supplied replacement fields. We have discussions ongoing about additional fields, im not at liberty to share details now. Efforts are being made by the city, league, Host Committee to locate additional fields.
