The murder suspect created a scene at his are arraignment in court today. A supporter broke glass in the hallway and Police Arrested her. The gun holloway used to the department of u. S. Immigration and customs enforcement. A duty weapon belonging to i. C. E. Was stolen september 13 in San Francisco from a vehicle being used by the officer. Sfpd says that the agent reported the glock stolen from his locked car on second and south park. His passenger side window smashed, gun and other belongings gun. When opd traced the gun used in the murder it was traced bang to San Francisco. Holloway is a suspect in several armed murders in september and october. It is suspected that the artist was kill for the camera. He had some of his camera equipment out there. I believe thats what sparked the incident. Reporter since 2006, i. C. E. Agents have lost 165 weapons. Ramos is not the only one to be killed with a gun that belonged to the feds. An undocumented immigrant killed kate steinle. Holloway did not complete arraignment today. This video from october of last year shows Police Responding to a young man armed with a knife. Than according to prosecutors, officer Jason Van Dyke opened fire, shooting 17yearold Laquan Mcdonald 16 times, killing him. This defendants backs of shooting Laquan Mcdonald were not justified and they were not a proper use of deadly force by this police officer. Reporter today just before the video was released. Officer van dyke turned himself in. The coroners report shows at least two wounds were in the back. The attorney for officer van dyke says his client fears for his life. We feel we will be successful in defending his case. Reporter tonight there are protests in chicago many are upset over the shooting and that it took over a year to charge the officer. If the videos are metropolitan to create a transparent interaction with the public it wouldnt have gone this way. The video would have been released a long time ago. An oil leak may have contaminated Water Supplies in one part of alameda county. May have seeped far enough is itting us at risk . Hazardous chemicals may have contaminated Water Supplies. The oil company tried to clean up on its own without telling regulators about the leak even though that is the law. We learned more about the leak and the question is is it potentially dangerous . The oil feel is run by enb Natural Resources which has facilities across the state. Crews are working to clean up a spill and officials cannot answer questions about the impact of the leak and whether those near the site could be danger. Livermore is home to more than 86,000 people, 45 wineries and just off the main roads, past this grove of olive trees is the countys only active oil field. Thats where county inspectors took these photos of what they described as an oil leak. Dangerous chemicals seeped into the soil. The leak included Hazardous Waste and this report says the crude oil may have contaminated an underground aquifer used for drinking wear. Are people potentially at risk . Im not going to say they are at risk. And im not going to say that they are. I wouldnt say they are at risk or not. We dont know that yet. Reporter susan heads the Hazardous Materials division. She is a chemist by trade and says the extent of the damage and the danger still arent known. Last week the crews were working to remove the contaminated soil which might make you think that the leak was discovered recently. But inspectors knew about the leak back in april. That is seven months ago. And questions about the water contamination havent been answered. You dont know . I think that i mean that the immediate risk has been taken care of but removing the contaminated soil but impact the groundwater we dont know. Why couldnt it have been discovered earlier . It was not reported. The leak was not reported. Reporter the team of inspectors only check above ground oil tanks once every three years. It wasnt until they got complaints that they learned that oil leaked into the soil. The oil Company Started testing soil temples at the end of march. But other documents reported that the release was discovered in april. Inspectors visited the site in may and listed the report in june which listed over a dozen violences including failure to proper dispose of Hazardous Waste. It contains lead and chromium and toluene. Reporter this is an attorney in oakland and says that enb was obligated to report the leak. Instead the company tried to clean it up on its own. Enb dug as deep as 12 feet and found traces of the chemical. Lakewood says that they should have known better. What sort of record does enb have . Across california, more than a dozen spills in the past five years. 13 spills took place in four different colorado counties since 2010. We discovered statewide 18 spills in oil fields have been reported in three montanas, two at enb facilities. And they only notified them about the leak in livermore. They took nearly four months after they discovered the leak to report the leak. What does that tell you . I you know, i wouldnt i cant comment on that. After hugos team found the violations others stepped in to clean up. The soil needs to be cleaned up first so it is not pushed into the water supply. Officials acknowledge the slow pace. Citing the regulatory process that they say doesnt work fast enough. The companies can get away with lax operations. If the county had not become involved who knows what might have happened. Reporter the county is requiring an assessment of all the wells within 2,000 feet of the leak to find out how many people are impacted. The state department of resources say there are about 400 wells in the area. Most, if not all of the wells are private. The water is never treated behave it is used for drinking and farming. If it gets into the groundwater as sbnsly as that is used. That is a big concern. Last month the relates arent due until september 21st. Eight months will have passed beha before some in livermore will find out if the chemicals are in their water supply. The company says in a statement it believes the leak may have happened years ago. The statement goes on to say in late march 2015 when we removed a storage tank we discovered oil under the tank. Enb never used the tnk. The Company Takes full responsibility for cleaning up the affected soil in a remediation agreement with the county. Enb is paying to assess the tangible and clean it up.
