They arrested two reporters and an elected official after they didnt move fast enough. A state senator says she had tear gas thrown at her and she approves the budget for the state patrol. Even president obama has been briefed on the situation here. Overnight, protests turned violent again on the streets of ferguson, missouri. Police responded with tear gas sending the crowd running. As civil Rights Groups protest the Police Shooting that killed 18yearold Michael Brown, and the lawsuits mount, the chief of Police Telling abc news his officer was hurt in the incident. Authorities say either brown or his friend fought with the policeman before the shooting. His face was swollen so hed obviously been hit or punched or Something Like that. Reporter he says he and his officers are getting Death Threats daily and says he wont release the name of the officer involved in the shooting unless his officers charged with a crime or a court makes him then he could always appeal. Prosecutors say it could take weeks before they decide if the shooting is a crime. We have difficulty reaching a lot of witnesses. They dont contact the police. You know, were having trouble locating them. Reporter they are talking with Dorian Johnson who was walking with brown when he says the officer tried to get them off the street. He tried to force his door open. But we were so close to him, it ricocheted off us and bounced back to him and i guess that, you know, got him a little upset. This morning the pentagon says those air strikes and humanitarian airdrops with another one overnight have broken the siege on that mountain where so many have been stranded, meaning that potential rescue which could have involved u. S. Ground troops has been put on hold. A small u. S. Team of marines and special forces landed on mt. Sinjar wednesday to assess the options for a rescue. But what they found, far fewer refugees than expected and many in much better shape. While there were fears that tens of thousands were trapped on the mountain, with the iraqi rescues and people making their own way down the mountain, the number is now believed to be only in the thousands and the pentagon says all have access to the food and water from those u. S. Airdrops. Air strikes too diminishing the number of isis militants surrounding the mountain. The white house acknowledging the u. S. Was considering sending u. S. Forces to help with what could have been a dangerous rescue. Although insisting they would not be combat troops. But the apparent success of the airdrops does not mean the crisis is over. To the east of the mountain in erbil illequipped Kurdish Forces are struggling to halt advances from isis forces, armed with heavy weapons stolen from Iraqi Security forces. Isis tanks, their artillery they captured from the iraqi army depots, they cannot match up to that. Theyre outgunned and overmatched. Reporter the u. S. Is providing weapons, but not fast enough for the forces on the ground. As for that potential rescue, the u. S. Since she returned home to her family a few weeks ago after disappearing for nine long months neither abigail or her family representatives have spoken publicly about what she says she endured until now. Overnight, the lawyer for abigail hernandez, the 15yearold allegedly snatched off the street last october, as she walked home from school disappearing for nine months, speaking to abc about the teens ordeal. She was violently abducted by a strange man. Reporter and hinting at the trauma he says she suffered. She is a young child who has suffered really unspeakable acts of vice. Reporter hernandez was last seen in the public eye here at the arraignment for 34yearold Nathaniel Kibby just days after she returned home. Flanked by her family, never making eye contact with her alleged abductor. He was charged with felony kidnapping. Kibby has not yet entered a plea. While prosecutors havent ruled out additional charges hernandezs lawyer thinks more are coming. When the investigation concludes, and all of the evidence is presented to the grand jury, that we would expect itll be additional charges filed. Reporter now hernandezs lawyers say abby and her family want to deal with the speculation that abby went willingly after meeting kibby on line. They had no relationship. She had no knowledge who he was. She didnt know who he was. She was abducted. Reporter authorities continue to search kibbys home in gorham, New Hampshire, including this shipping container which prosecutors say was split into three sections but wouldnt elaborate further. Meanwhile, her Attorney Says abby faces a tough road ahead. What she needs is some time to be able to work with her professionals and have some time to become physically and emotionally stronger. Reporter neither her lawyer nor authorities are disclosing specific details about how she returned home or what kibby did to her during her alleged captivity. Reporter on five days this summer using an infrared thermometer at the hottest time of day gma investigates tested playground equipment across the country recording the highest temperatures. The blacktop at the same playground, a whopping 185 degrees and on the plastic slides we tested, 158 to an unbelievable 189 degrees. At 140 degrees it can take as little as three seconds for a child to get a Second Degree burn and five seconds to get a thirddegree burn but if you think the temperature outside has to be sweltering for playground equipment to heat up, think again. When this woman took her kids to the annapolis zoo it never crossed her mind to check the temperature of the equipment. Her then 22monthold girl continuely headed straight for the slide. When you combine aquifer and doctors. Where does the responsibility lie in your opinion . Well, i think its a little bit like looking into a medical crystal ball when youre talking about someone living with morbid obesity, this is the outcome that we see in our doctor brains, you know, that train only goes usually in one direction, unfortunately. Now, as a mom, theres more than enough guilt to go around. We all know that, and we dont need one more reason, but i do think it is a reminder there are things under our control for at least some amount of time and thats what we should try to control. Do you think its a good way to get the message out or is this fatshaking as some have said . Well, you know, i actually did a year of research working with morbidly obese patients and saw, unfortunately, a lot of fatshaming and unfortunately sometimes even from within the medical community and thats wrong either way. But i think that the real issue or problem with this video is that it implies theres just one reason for obesity, and we know that that is not true. Part of it is behavior but part is genetic, hormonal, metabolic. I mean, the list goes on and on. Its not just about eating french fries. With a few seconds left, the mom shoveling the french fries in, my mom didnt do that but she let me have them from time to time. Isnt moderation the key . We all try to do the best we can. Not intimidated because, you know, i never had their posters on the wall. I just watched their movies, so, you know, for me as a little boy i didnt know actors played these characters. I just knew them as the characters and i would play them with all my brothers on the farm and in arizona just roughhousing but it was very exciting every day on set and have to hand it to sly and has the respect and built the career to be probably the only one who could ensemble or put together. Put together an ensemble cast with all these guys. He is the best. I love the story, he invited you over to his house to talk about your character and you had an in with his girls because of your twilight experience. Auditioned for the first expendables in 2009 when the first twilight came out and wasnt able to do that due to the shooting of new moon then the third one came around so the girls had grown up with the twilight franchise and walked into slys door and, hey, do you mind taking a picture with my daughters. This hes huge twilight fans. Yes. I do this for him and he did it for me. We have a clip where it really shows all of the action. Let me try to describe it. Feel like youre flying and at the very end youre floating because the rigs catch you from the crane. Pretty surreal. Also going to be surreal for you.
