Bagram air force base in afghanistan, country superstar brad paisleys surprise visit to your best cookout ever to rock legends blondie as we kick off the unofficial start to summer. And we wish all of you a very good morning, america. Happy memorial day to you. As we honor our troops all morning long. Robin and george have the morning off. The rest of the team here. We want to take you to a live picture this morning. Arlington national cemetery, president obama will lay a wreath at the tomb of the unknowns. Back this morning after the surprise visit to afghanistan to visit troops. Well have more on that later. We will, indeed. R david, to new developments in the deadly rampage in Santa Barbara over the weekend. More details this morning about what happened and who the six victims were. Abcs bazi kanani is at the isla vista deli mart with the latest. What can you tell us, bazi . Reporter all six of those killed were studentsko at nearby uc Santa Barbara, a school that attracts some of the top students in the country. As we learn more about those victims and the vicious attack here, police are looking more closely into the suspects life. Overnight investigators with search warrants collecting boxes full of evidence from two Los Angeles Area homes where the mother and father of suspected gunman Elliot Rodger lived. From a balcony, ellen cotton reporting just a few seconds of the gunfire on the street below before taking cover. It was so close and just so terrifying. Shots fired. Shots fired. Reporter the first call for help, 9 27 friday night. Police say 22yearold rodger opened fire outside the Alpha Phi Sorority house. Im going to enter the hottest Sorority House of ucsb. Reporter three young women shot. Two Sorority Sisters killed. Katie cooper and veronika weiss. She would say i miss you, daddy, but live your life to the fullest. Reporter the shooters next target, a deli. Where this Surveillance Video shows startled students dodging bullets. Here another student died, sophomore chris michaelmartinez. The killing spree continued. A total of ten locations in this Small College town where police say rodger hurt 13 and killed 6. He drove madly through the streets firing out his window and using his car to strike bicyclists and pedestrians. Deputies exchanged fire with the gunman twice before they say he crashed his black bmw and was found dead after apparently shooting himself in the head. In his car, more than 400 rounds of ammunition and three semiautomatic handguns all legally purchased by and registered to him. Yet investigators say rodger used a different weapon at his own apartment where they later found the bodies of three more students stabbed repeatedly. Abc news has learned they were his housemates and one of their visiting friends. George chen chang james hong, weihan wang. Uc Santa Barbara canceled classes tomorrow. Theyre calling it a day of mourning and reflection and planning a large Memorial Service at the stadium on campus campus campus. There is good news out here this morning. The six students still hospitalized are all improving, all now in fair condition or better. David . Thats good to hear. What a horrific weekend. Bazi, thank you. Bazi showed us that image of 20yearold christopher martinez, the last of the six People Killed in the rampage. His grieving father, richard, giving the heartbreaking speech about suddenly and senselessly losing his son and making a forceful appeal for more aggressive gun control policies. And here this morning, Richard Martinez in his own words. Christopher ross michaelmartinez was born december 23, 1993, in san luis obispo, california. He was our only child and he died friday night. He was very smart, very active. He loved reading, loved sports, movies, he was looking forward to going to breakfast tomorrow with his new girlfriend and her family. He hadnt met them yet and if you talked to kids who played with him on sports teams, youd find this was a kid that led through energy, example and never giving up. He was so much a part of our n lives that its hard to imagine how things are going to be like now that hes gone if we have to live with this. We want to do what we can so nobody else has to go through this. Nobody needs to own three semiautomatic handguns. It doesnt make sense. The solution to the problem of gun violence in america will take a lot of people working on different aspects of the problem. Mental health, violence and the intimidation of women, but what we are trying to do is try to understand why chris died and try to make it mean something. To hear a father in his own words, just the anguish and trying to find the good in the senseless act. Thats hard for all these parents. Indeed. And the killer, Elliot Rodgers plot had come during the course of the past year all detailed in a chilling manifesto and disturbing video he left behind. Abcs Clayton Sandell is at the Apartment Building where his deadly rampage began with the very latest. Good morning, clayton. Reporter good morning, lara. This morning, Elliot Rodgers parents who are divorced are not speaking publicly. But now we are learning that just moments before this all began, their son sent an ominous warning. Just minutes before Elliot Rodger began his sinister attack, his mother knew something was wrong. You forced me to suffer all my life, and now ill make you all suffer. Reporter Family Friends Simon Astaire tells abc news that chin rodger had taken a call from her sons therapist, telling her to check her email. Waiting in her inbox that 137page manifesto detailing elliots jealousy and hatred especially for women, who he blamed for a life of loneliness rejection and misery. It was 9 17 p. M. , only 13 minutes before the shooting started. Chin rodger then checked her sons youtube page. What she found confirming her worst fear. Well, this is my last video. It all has to come to this. Reporter astaire says elliots mother frantically called her exhusband, peter rodger, and later police. The two racing from los angeles to isla vista, along the way radio reports brought news of a shooting. When they reached the Police Station officers confirmed the shooter was their son. He was really, really upset about why is the world so unfair to him. Girls gave their affection and sex and love to other men but never to me. Im 22 years old and im still a virgin. Reporter we now know rodgers family contacted police only weeks earlier, concerned about his increasingly disturbing online rants, sheriffs deputies went to his apartment. They determined that he did not meet the criteria for an Involuntary Mental Health hold. Reporter they found no reason to take action, but rodger wrote that it would have been different if police had found his guns and his assault plan. If they had demanded to search my room, he wrote, that would have ended everything. Rodgers manifesto describes a life of deprivation and unfairness. But his Facebook Page tells a story of privilege. Designer sunglasses and private concerts with katy perry. His dad, an assistant director on the hunger games. Elliot even posted this picture on the red carpet. Images of a glamorous life that apparently masked a dark reality. Now, because Elliot Rodger was never institutionalized for mention illness, it was perfectly legal for him to buy those three handguns and hundreds of bullets. David . Our thanks to you. I want to bring in chief Legal Affairs anchor dan abrams and its always easy looking back with hindsight on these things but the call and the email from the therapist to the mom, this was just minutes before the shootings began and a lot of people are going to wonder had the therapist only called police, maybe something could have been done . A very long manifesto with very little time, and the laws do vary state to state. Theres no question that this therapist would have been allowed to call the police without worrying about the privilege. The question is, was it mandatory . Did this therapist have to call the police . It does seem under California Law that a therapist can be required to call the authorities to warn, to protect, most importantly if, if the victims are identifiable and this manifesto it does seem that particular people were named so an argument could be made that the psychologist was obligated to protect the victims in this case, but because it was such a long manifesto and so little time its going to be very fact specific. We also know Police Called authorities before the sheriffs deputies had gone to the home and one thing written in the manifesto, youre aware of that the police interrogated me outside for a few minutes. And he goes on to say if they had demanded to search my room that would have ended everything. For a few horrible seconds i thought it was all over then the biggest wave of relief. Thats what he writes. This wasnt a search warrant, right. They didnt have the right to go in there. They were there for a welfare check, to make sure that he was not a danger to himself or to others. The police made it pretty clear that in talking to him, there was no real risk at least that they could tell. So very easy so second guess now. Tough to blame the police in retrospect. Without a search warrant you cant go in. Thanks very much. Lara. We want to switch gears to president obama surprising thousands of soldiers in afghanistan. An unexpected memorial day weekend visit. The president thanking them for their service and saying he hopes only a small number of american troops will remain in the country after this year. Abcs david kerley has more from the white house. Reporter good morning. The president arrived back at the white house this morning after a 32hour trip to afghanistan to thank the troops, and to give a career indication to the american presence in afghanistan. It was one of those secret trips not announced until the president arrived in the evening darkness surprising even the 3,000 troops gathered. Hello, bagram. Reporter the president offered solemn remembrances for their lost comrades on this memorial day weekend, but then talked about the coming transition. For many of you this will be your last tour in afghanistan. [ cheers ] reporter but some may come back. The president , who met with the ambassador and top general, made it clear he wants to keep a u. S. Presence after the end of this year, the end of combat operations in afghanistan. Because after all the sacrifices weve made we want to preserve the gains that you have helped to win. And were going to make sure that afghanistan can never again ever be used again to launch an attack against our country. Reporter how Many Americans will stay is unclear. It depends on a deal with the future leader of afghanistan. It wont be the current President Hamid karzai who rejected an invitation to the air base to meet with the president. The two did speak on the phone. While it was less than a fourhour visit, it was a memorable one for the troops. Now im going to shake every single hand in here. Although i may not be able to take a selfie with everybody. [ cheers ] but ill shake every hand. Reporter the president spent 90 minutes shaking hands. We may learn more about the american presence down the road in afghanistan wednesday when the president speaks at west point. One mistake made during the trip, the white house inadvertently released the name of the cia station chief in afghanistan. No word on whether hes going to stay in country or come back home. Lara and david. All right, now, he was shaking a lot of hands. And said he wouldnt have a time for a selfie with everyone. You know that president , he likes a selfie. He sure does. That had to mean a ton to the troops. I hope so. Now to the popes historic pilgrimage. Another surprise, the holy land and pope francis wrapping up his threeday visit to the mideast today at the dome of the rock in jerusalem. After offering to hosting a peace summit at the vatican, and the image that went global. And abcs terry moran is traveling with the pope. Terry, good morning. Reporter good morning, david. The popes pilgrimage to the holy land turned into a daring and controversial quest for peace. Today the pope came to this place, the western or wailing wall, the holiest site for jews where he prayed, touched the wall, left a note of prayer, the our father written in his native spanish in the wall. That picture in stark contrast to his unscheduled and controversial visit yesterday to that grim concrete barrier that separates israelis from palestinians in bethlehem. That moment thrilling palestinians, deeply concerning many israelis who see that wall as a life saver from terrorism. The Pope Crossing all kinds of lines. He uttered the words, state of palestine, a first for a pope, that term rejected by israel and the u. S. , but he also invited the president of israel and the president of the palestinians to join him in a prayer for peace at his modest apartment in the vatican, and both men have accepted. Its been an amazing journey and it continues today in israel. David . This could be historic. Terry, our thanks to you and amy is following that other developing story out of denver. Good morning. Thats right. Good morning, everyone. We begin with that story breaking overnight. A mudslide four miles long and two miles wide has struck just west of denver. The wall of mud came crashing down in an area near the town of collbran. There are no reports of any structures damaged, but three people are missing. That mud is about 250 feet deep in some areas. The slide was triggered by heavy rain. Hundreds of people have been forced from their homes as a Massive Wildfire in southern alaska grows larger. The flames now burning 218 square miles on the kenai peninsula. A fire like this is rare in alaska this early in the season. Some encouraging news from the firefight in arizona. The wildfire between sedona and flagstaff is 25 contained. Preevacuation orders are expected to be lifted today. And a man who made his fortune by selling chocolate has been elected president of ukraine. Proeuropean billionaire Petro Poroshenko is promising to end the political chaos and crime plaguing that country. Today the russian government said it is ready to begin a dialogue with him. And a manhunt is underway for the man caught on this Surveillance Video calmly walking into the Jewish Museum in brussels, belgium, before opening fire killing four people. Workers and tourists were among his victims. Security now being tightened at synagogues across that region. And back in this country near fresno, cameras rolling as a tractortrailer stalled on the railroad track, the driver run away. The train unable to slow down slamming into the truck sending its cargo of trail mix flying into the air. The bags scattered everywhere on the other side of the tracks. A different view as the train approached the crossing, the man behind the camera suddenly realizes what is ahead. Were gonna die. Stop. Oh, my god. Well, thankfully no one died. In fact, despite the violent impact no one was even injured. Unlikely hero has entered baseballs history book. Dodgers pitcher josh beckett threw the first nohitter of the season sunday. Capping a remarkable comeback when less than a year ago many thought his career was finished following a risky surgery. Finally youve never heard of conrad gregor, but his dad is happy he made the decision to drive all the way from indiana to iowa to watch his son play baseball over the weekend because when conrad got to the plate, he did something hes never done before in the midwest league, he hit a home run. But it gets better, you see it caught. Guess who caught it . No way. Yep, thats dad. Making the catch of a lifetime. That is so fantastic. What are the odds . And by the way, what a great arm he has. Caught that ball. Like father, like son. Conrad says his dad might have to come to every game. Fa younl you know how supersticious Baseball Players are. Is it fathers day or memorial day . Early fathers day. That was great. All right, on this memorial day we want to say thanks to the servicemen and women past, present and future for your bravery and commitment to our country. It was filed by the girls parents who say the teachers are a danger to other students. On the outside its a typical suburban school. But on the inside a new lawsuit claims four Staff Members at Avon High School in connecticut tried to brainwash Three Sisters and their parents had no idea. Allegations shocking this quiet community. It came totally out of nowhere. I never would have expected anything like that. Reporter the 64page civil suit filed by a couple identified only as jane and john doe claims spanish teachers Tanya Mastoloni, rebecca kessler, christopher he po cita and Laura Sullivan preyed on their three daughters indoctrinating them into a religious cult that promotes martyrdom and celebrates teeth and leaving them flat and distant and adding they began speaking in a bizarre new language and cut off all of their communications with the family. Also named in the suit Avon High School and Wellesley College which the two older girls have also attended. It seems like it may cross the line if the allegations are proved. Reporter we reached out to the teachers named in the suit but have not heard back. And three, unlike warfarin theres no routine blood testing. [ male announcer ] dont stop taking eliquis unless your doctor tells you to as stopping increases your risk of having a stroke. Eliquis can cause serious and in rare cases, fatal bleeding. Dont take eliquis if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. Well, yes, actress emma watson aka hermione just graduated from browkn wow, congratulations. Right . I didnt even know we were starting, so the fact actress Carrie Fisher set to reprise her role as the iconic Princess Leia in Star Wars Episode 7. Speaking on sunday the 57yearold actress talking about what she wants to get right this time. Looking back she said her british accent was pretentious. Ive done mine before. Yeah, we remember. I didnt want to make it seem like every time i do pop news, i do a british accent. That was just a pretentious american accent. Kind of breathy. Right. As for that famous twobun hairdo, fisher says, i begged them to put the hair back to gray and watch me cooking with the hal also quipped that her fellow arcs actors Harrison Mark hamill all look a little melted. Harrison ford responded speak for yourself. No, he didnt. Joke. I say bring back the braids. I love the braided buns. What little girl didnt do it to their hair . Explains a lot, amy. You dated yourself. We all have. Im older than she is. This new study comes as a surprise, maybe not. Researchers at Pennsylvania State university found that many people are more stressed at home than at work. They discovered that cortisol or stress hormones peaked during some hours at home. Poor guy. Look at that. Across all socioeconomic groups. Oh, look at that mom there. Men said they were happier at home than at work. Women reported being happier at work. Thats because women are doing all the chores. Yeah. I wonder. You guys that is not you served that right up to them. Right . That was my next line. We can just move forward. Yes. Yeah, see. That was my point. The next line was, of course, women are working and theyre still doing more chores at home. Thats absolutely true. So its not surprising. I would like to thank my alma mater penn state for that information. Ht insightful. S if today is your day off, dont worry you can work tomorrow. Working on the holiday, maybe this is the ultimate way to relax. Finally now, you were asking where is the animal . Where is the animal, dan . I was. Here is the animal. Topping the heat index, the wedding of the year, the other wedding of the year. Gingers is the wedding. Were on record. Kim and kanye tied the knot in italy in spectacular fashion and the spectacular sara haines just back from the wedding. Of course, i was definitely there not. Weve seen Kim Kardashian walk down the aisle once or twice before, but that didnt keep the reality tar from pull inging out all the stops for her nearly 200 guests at her european wedding to rapper kanye west. Pop culture queen Kim Kardashian making her way down the aisle in givenchy in this exclusive photo obtained by people magazine, the long sleeved lace frock reminiscent of a much different type of royal. A nervous kanye clad in givenchy as well waiting for his bride on an italian hillside standing in front of a 20foot wall of flowers. Kim was very emotional when she walked down the aisle, and it was actually because Andreas Bocelli sang. She had no idea he would sing her down the aisle. Reporter but the bride wasnt alone in wearing white. Bridesmaids kourtney, khloe, kendall and kylie all sharing the unconventional wedding shade. Partygoers like jaden smith, rachel roy and la la anthony enjoying an italian feast of 4h pasta, fish and steak, rose and gold champagne. Kim changing into her second dress of the night, a short beaded number seen here in a photo booth snap. Their first dance was performed by john legend whos a great friend of the couple. His wife beyonce instagramming a congratulatory photo and also noticeably absent kims brother rob back in l. A. After attending the couples parisian prewedding bash. There was no big fight between anyone. Sources tell us that rob was sort of just uncomfortable the entire weekend. Reporter one other thing generating buzz from the weekend wedding, take a look at this picture. This is really cute. Thats not Leonardo Dicaprio although you might think that. Thats actually the pastor, richiw5 wilkerson jr. From miami who officiated the wedding and, ladies, unfortunate news. Hes married but then again so are all of us, almost. How cute is he . I love that he is like central casting. Of course, he is. Pictures in the photo booth, everybody is like like a family of they know ow to work cameras. Yeah. It was like our selfie with the sailors outside. Exactly. Just like that. Going viral. Speaking of memorial day, the kids are probably home today and you may be wondering how we do all the time with them. So we have the author of how toddlers thrive with some advice on how to keep your little ones busy and more importantly, happy. Abcs juju chang brings secrets from a woman they call the toddler whisper per. Reporter toddlers between the terrible 2s and the ferocious 4s, theres a lot of drama. [ baby crying ] reporter and attitude that parents find it baffling. Im bored. Reporter take lily on modern family. Cry me a river. Lily. Reporter what if we could crack the kid code . Meet the tot whisperer tovah klein author of how toddlers thrive with four things we often get wrong. We crashed a play date with these little cuties in larchmont, new york. Well be at the park and ill have to say, meow, we have to go and shell look at me and drop on the ground and scream. No, im not leaving the park. Im not leaving my friends. I think we get it wrong when we just try to shut it down because the child feels like, i must be such an awful person that im even feeling this or they feel like you dont u really understand me so im going to keep upping it till you get im angry. Reporter another misstep keeps them super busy 24 7. Why is it important to let them be bored . Have you everp, watched children in a stroller in a car looking outbvq window, theyre just watching. Parents think theyre bored but theyre taking so much in. Especially when children daydream, they come up with all kinds of ideas but also life solidifies. Reporter its another reason to push for downtime. Trying to rush toddlers from place to place is another recipe for disaster. My 4yearold is very hard to get out the door with his shoes, i cant tell you how many times hes been late because he doesnt have his shoes on. Ive told him ten times to put his shoes on, he doesnt listen. Doesnt cooperate. Getting out the door in the morning, theres so many things they need attention and theyre looking for control and saying, im not going to put my shoes on is one way to get control. Sometimes its just a matter of saying to your 4yearold ill put them on for you today giving them some control so they can move forward. The other thing we get wrong often is that we go for perfection. I think because the world is not perfect, they say, look, i put my own shirt on and feel great and when the parent says but its backwards, theyre completely deflated. If you want your child to be independent, you say, yeah, you did put your shirt on, thats awesome. Lets go. Reporter for Good Morning America, juju chang, abc news, new york. Very good lessons, indeed. Yeah. We were chatting while that was going on with our own parental experiences. Yeah. Coming up next on our heat index, graduation season and robin is getting in on the act in dallas. Take a look. And so when that challenge comes your way and youre feeling fearful, i want you to focus on the fight and not the fright. Words of empowerment, as always, from our Robin Roberts and there is one speech in recent years that has really touched a nerve shared by so many for its powerful message, as well. Abcs Bianna Golodryga has that story. [ playing pomp and circumstance ] reporter sometimes commencement speeches are profound. Dare to love those who are different from you. Reporter often theyre encouraging. And im confident that youll write a new and better chapter in american history. Reporter and sometimes theyre just plain silly. Do not pick your nose in public. Reporter but sometimes the nb words resonate so strongly. As a goal in life, you could do worse than try to be kinder. Reporter as New York Times bestselling author George Saunders graduation address from a year ago did, hitting a nerve with so many and going viral. Its now the subject of his latest book, congratulations, by the way, and its helping kindness make a comeback. The idea of being kind and comparing it to other commencement speeches and so much of that tends to focus on this competitive world these graduates are entering. Why do you think your concept sort of stood out from that . Certain virtues like kindness, like gentleness, compassion somehow got a downgrade to soft virtues, you know optional virtues. Yeah, you can be kind after youve won, and i think thats kind of wrong. Seventh grade this new kid joined our class. Reporter the girl whose name you changed for anonymity sake. And her name is he will london in your speech. Was mostly ignored, occasionally teased. Reporter and you talk about how you werent a mean guy but you could have been nicer to her. What i regret most in my life are failures of kindness. Reporter saunders who has penned eight books and credits kindness in launching his i had an aunt of mine who let me live with them for a year so i went there and wrote six or seven hours a day and thats what meant the most to me in a time when life was xd kind of rolling over me a little bit and feeling like nobody noticed, they noticed me and that was worth, you know, maybe everything. But as you do to the extent that you can err in the direction of kindness. Reporter kindness, a degree we can all graduate with and share with lots of pomp and circumstance. For Good Morning America, Bianna Golodryga, abc news, new york. And what a tremendous message because, you know, you get out into the world and you think i got to compete, i got to do my best. We forget the best you can do is be kind. The value of kindness was downgraded. He did and we should continue. That was really nice. We go from kindness to sticking the new guy with the different kind of kindness which is we have a special sneak peek of tonights episode of bachelorette. Perfect transition. Very kind. Very kind. Wait till you see what its about. I think youll agree. Its very kind. In this episode, the guys prove they will do anything to win andis heart, and i mean anything. Our own jack hanna, the director emeritus took sara haines on an africanstyle safari inside the zoos newest attraction. Sara, tell us about it. S7 the heart of africa is open to the public. It was jacks dream to bring this part of the world to so many who may not see it fa otherwise, and i was one of those people. After visiting im left with one word, magical. Imagine youve landed in the wild from inside with only this window separating you, you can experience what its like when the king of the jungle comes to check things out. That wing is air conditioned. Yeah. Exactly. Airconditioned plane parts and a side of beef on your wing notwithstanding, its a zoo experience that had me feeling like a girl who had escaped on an african safari. You dont need a passport. Just me to put up with. Which you might want to reconsider the passport. I have to say the best part was jack was so emotional about this because it was a dream he and his wife sue had for years and to see that, it was palpable. Its so fantastic. I love what you were saying about the plane. They get that close to cool off their body and youre face to face with a lion. The wing is air conditioned to draw them up. Allan karl, by the way, is the brother of jon karl, our white house guy. A sibling study because jon doesnt seem like a motorcycle dude, but his brother is, and he decided to share it with us. The lessons he learned during the adventure was to write a book filled with stories, recipes and incredible words of wisdom from z rip all over the world. Take a look. It was just after september 2001, allan karl came to a major fork in the road, unsatisfied with his job and his sevenyear marriage ending he decided to plan the opportunity of a lifetime. I thought i needed to take time to breathe, learn and explore, and for me this trip was the time that i took for myself to heal, to learn more, ok again, about myself and about others. Reporter karl, a longtime motorcycle enthusiast decided to go on the biggest trip of his life. I decided that the possessions that i was holding on to so close really werent that important anymore. What was more important are experiences. Fa and i emptied out my entire house, sell it all, hop on that motorcycle. Reporter packing only the bare minimum, karl traveled alone for the next three years, 62,000 miles riding through 35 countries and 53w continents, leaving california he blazed up to the arctic and then back down to central america. Still wanting more, he went on to travel through south america, africa and the middle east. Whether its that muddy floor in kenya or an executives home in buenos aires, its there i really connected with people and shared stories and learned and grew. Reporter there were setbacks, mechanical issues with his bike and even a broken leg in bolivia but it never stopped him. I never really thought of calls it quits. I set on this journey not only zv photographs and write it but also to learn more about myself and certainly about the rest of the world. Reporter in his selfpublished book forks, karle documents his threeyear journey and created a path for himself and hopes the book will give others the drive to do the same. Wow, what an incredible journey. Allan karl is a motivational speaker and he should be after that experience. Hes hoping to study to iran and pakistan and to get a recipe because that became part of the adventure, the people he met, the meals he had, we posted it all at our website, go to goodmorningamerica. One that is a pickle and snap pea potato salad. That sounds really good. Super fresh for spring. Ooh. And make a little dressing. Ill start with mustard. Want to pour in lemon juice. Yeah. Spicy mustard. Dijon mustard, exactly, lemon juice and whisk in some ol little oil. Yum. I already like the way it sounds. In the pan i have some scallions and some red onion and shallots. If you want to just pour that mixture right into the pan. Ooh, okay. I browned them up. Mmmm. Then im going to add some thinly sliced snap peas and some pickles, chopped dill pickles. Love pickles. Yes. n and this is going to be your sauce. Want to season that up ray little bit. Smells so good. And salt and pepper. Go ahead. And im literally going to then dump these thinly slices potatoes right in the pan. That looks so good. And mix it all together. Let it cool and you have yours first potato salad. That is great. Anything with pickles. So now the next one is a hummus and yogurt dressing. Ko; okay. Cut them differently. These are big chunksn i have some hummus and then i have some yogurt. You can use nonfat greek yogurt, whatever kind of yogurt you want. You want to mix that together. Go for it. All right. Im going to add celery which is a potato salad classic. This looks really good. I have some cornisha. What is that . Those Little French pickles. Pickles are big clearly in potato salad and some white onions. Now put that all right in here so nobody has to cook. In advance. Mix it in. Wow. Xd mix that all up and there you have it. This is my personal favorite. Pancetta and brown butter. Who doesnt love pancetta . Itsry a special kind of bacon . It is an italian bacon and its sliced and browned like this. Browning it in butter and letting it cook out until its nice and golden. Itll give it a caramely taste. A little bit of rosemary. A little bit of rosemary and a little bit of shallots and thats all going to come together. Some of my favorite flavors all in one. I know, its nice. Theyll smell really good too. Now im going to put this into a bowl. Okay. Ok and if you want to put into this bowl some of that vinegar and the spicy brown mustard. Spicy brown mustard. Yeah. Pa kind of vinegar is this . Thats cider vinegar. Cider vinegar. Okay. I have beautiful fingerling potatoes im going to dump in. You just cut them differently for different looks. Mix that together, of course, and always season with salt and pepper. Okay. And finish. Ill reach around you. Fresh chive. Yum. These are all fantastic recipes and so, so easy to make. And the best thing about it, you can make all of these the day before and then youre done. And i didnt get to taste any of them so were going to break im going to have a taste of these.
