Reporter hes known 22yearold Amer Sinan Al Haggagi since he was a boy. The family lived above this market. Al haggagi attempted to open social media accounts for the benefit of isis. I hope its something that come up like natural, like its hard to believe. Reporter in Court Detention documents, a judge notes that the defendant allegedly went so far as to meet with undercover agents on multiple occasions to plan a potential terrorist attack. Al haggagis Attorney Says that he is young and naive and it appears that he allowed himself to be drawn into conversations that he should have been far more suspicion of. Al haggagi has been in custody in oakland since last november when he was arrested on aggravated Identity Theft charge. Agents say he bought goods using a stolen credit card. He was born in lodi, spent time in yemen as a kid and then attended Berkeley High school. Al haggagi also taught arabic at a local mosque. The local community watches out for online radicalization. Developing news from the Helmand Province in afghanistan where a u. S. Air strike accidently killed 12 Afghan National police personnel. Two others were also wounded. In a statement the pentagon said the errant air strike happened during an operation against taliban insurgence. Helmand province is where National Security forces have been battling to retake territory under the control of the taliban. Concerns over possible terrorist attack during tomorrows San Francisco marathon have prompted a partial closure of the Golden Gate Bridge during the race. Here is a live look at the iconic span. All northbound lanes will be closed from 6 00 to 9 00 in the morning on sunday. Abc 7 news was there as some of the 27,000 racers picked up their bibs. With all those runners hitting the streets, drivers can expect major traffic delays. Here is look at the race route in green on your screen. These roads will be closed from 7 00 to noon. A Justice Department spokesperson is questioning the credibility of a new report that says Jeff Sessions discussed the 2016 campaign with russias ambassador to the u. S. The Washington Post says two conversations between sessions and Sergey Kislyak were intercepted by u. S. Spy agencies. They reportedly discussed u. S. russian relations under a possible trump administration. Sessions initially failed to disclose that he even met with kislyak during the campaign. His lawyers give a firm denial, but the new press secretary seems to leave the door open. He maintains pardon powers, but there are no planned announcements on that front. Reporter it comes as the white house turns up the heat on robert mueller, accusing him and his team of conflicts of interest telling the New York Times he interviewed mueller for the job of fbi director just one day before he was appointed special counsel. You talk about conflicts, he was interviewing for the job. Abc learned he sent a letter to white house aides ordering them to preserve all communications including documents, emails and Text Messages related to last years trump tower meeting involving don junior , paul manafort, Jared Kushner and that russian lawyer promising dirt on hillary clinton.
