The pilots neighbor in san jose tells us he and his wife left for anaheim friday to attend their granddaughters cheerleading competition at disneyland. The neighbor says the pilot is in his 70s and is really experienced. Its horrible. You know, especially when you couple together that they were going to a cheer competition and this is supposedly a happy time and then just to have a tragic incident like this. Also southbound 680 just past sunol boulevard, a minor crash on the shoulder so some delays there as well. Well take a look at drive times coming up. We are expecting to get more information in just a few hours about this plane crash that ended up killing some members of a south bay family. Two women survived and were hearing theyre in Critical Condition this morning. Heres a look at the scene from a cell phone video of the fiery crash. The plane took off from riverside heading back to san jose when it crashed into a neighborhood near the airport. The fire raged through homes as firefighters searched for victims. All five victims were from the aircraft itself. We have confirmed that we do have three deceased on scene. Our firefighters did make, again, aggressive rescue to rescue two of the victims that are at local hospitals. Reporter no residents were injured, but ntsb investigators will search the neighborhood today to make sure, but they believe everyone has been accounted for. Two homes that were hit directly were destroyed, so today, the red cross is helping those families with shelter and counseling. Police say two cause crashed and a woman inside a nearby home recognized one of the cars in the accident. She was then hit by a third car as she tried to cross the street. The two drivers who collided with expected to be okay. The third driver who hit the woman is cooperating with the investigation. Jewish Centers Across the country are on high alert following a new wave of bomb threats. There are more than 20 just yesterday, including three right here in the bay area. San Francisco Police temporarily shut down market after someone called and threatened the Antidefamation League. Within a half hour, Jewish Centers in palo alto and san rafael also received threats. No actual devices were found at any of these locations. The Antidefamation League says there have been more than 90 antisemitic threats or incidents nationwide within the last two months and its now calling on the Trump Administration to take action. Today marks exactly one week since devastating flooding slammed san jose, leaving behind 73 million in damage. That is a number thats considered conservative and is expected to climb as more investigations are done and damage is uncovered. Abc7 news was in the rock springs neighborhood last night where city crews were giving notice that stranded cars will be towed but fees will be waived. City leaders said they need to clear the streets so they can keep cleaning up piles of debris. Today, the city council is expected to approve an emergency ordinance waiving city permit and inspection fees for cleanup and repair. Our initial estimate today is that approximately 50 million worth of private Property Damage was done and about 23 million of Public Sector damage was done. The initial estimates will help the city begin the process of applying for state and federal aid. Police in pleasanton will investigating a shooting on westbound 580 around 7 00 last night. Officers got a report of a shooting on the interstate between hacienda drive and hopyard road. The victim says it was an incident of road rage and a passenger in a silver toyota kroel fired at his car several times. No one was hurt and the suspects drove west toward oakland. The santa cruz kouns is going to discuss the ongoing battle between Homeland Security and the Police Department in the city. Leaders are meeting tonight to discuss current guidelines it faces as a sanctuary city. It also expects to get an update from the police chief when that Council Meets at 7 00 tonight. The chief says he was duped into targeting undocumented immigrants during a raid on gang members two weeks ago. Homeland security says police were told in advance it would detain any foreign nationals encountered in the raid. Ten suspected gang members got arrestsed. Another 11 were detained for immigration violations. Republicans in the statement capital are blasting a bill that would limit communication between local Law Enforcement officers and immigration agents. Supporters say the aim of the sanctuary state measure is to protect students and children covered by president obamas d. R. E. A. M. Ers program. Opponents say the measure would prevent i. C. E. Agents from going into california jails and prisons and deporting the thousands of undocumented felons inside. The bill will face the vote on senate and assembly floors. Happening today, a federal judge will hear arguments on whether to stop the final bit of construction on the disputed Dakota Access pipeline. Southbound 101 just before cesar sha vez, the backup not looking too bad and heres a quick check of southbound 680 through walnut creek, all things concerned, thats looking pretty good too. And they say thats because those who use more electricity subsidize those who use less. If you live in alameda county, water rates are also going up tomorrow for the 18th time in 19 years. The increases are needed because it is facing a 60 million budget deficit and that repairs need to be made to much of its 900 miles of water mains the district says about 42 of the money will go toward paying down benefits.
